Could you provide a recommendation for a beginner since this book may be too advanced?

Hmm that will be little hard for me, because this books is the first book about this topic. But I have heard good things about "Colour and Light" by James Gurney. Other wise I would search CZcams about this topic or even look into Aaron Blaise course "how to paint light".
