Hello Mylord....Chris de Burgh...the star of my teenage years. That song is from 1984 and Chris' concerts were wild bag then. I saw him 10 times throughout the years. I was even aloud to sing with him on stage back in 1996. He is such a nice guy and " the Lady in red" is not all he can do. An amazing musician with a career that started back in 1975 and he is still touring. You should listen to his storytelling song "Patricia the stripper" " the Spanish train " or" Don't pay the ferryman" . Try it out you will be surprised😊

Chris has released 22 albums since 1974 has had modest success with his singles of course the biggest being Lady in Red another modest hit was don't pay the ferryman and high on emotion which strangely reached 44 on both the UK and US charts. Missing the top 40. The song Ashley came out before Lady in Red
Hello David, Chris de Burgh is without a doubt a great artist. Most people only know "lady in red". But listen to one of his early masterpieces "spanish train". If you don't know it, you will be VERY surprised. Especially of the lyrics. Chris de Burgh is a storyteller. 😊 Another very moving song is "borderline" or " in a country churchyard"

Quite a good storyteller, to be sure, a couple of personal favorites include The Getaway, Ship to Shore, Where Peaceful Waters Flow, I Love the Night (Ecstasy of Flight), Man on the Line.
