Thanks for this video. Really sold me on the Swiss Army 7 Harvester. The pruner blade will be very handy for work.

Thanks for showing. At the moment, i am searching for a new outdoor knife, and i want a victorinox.
I never used a alox Version, but the army 7 is my favorite.
The small blade could be helpful to carve some bushcraft projects.
    Best wishes from germany

I think a lanyard ring would have been useful on these knives (like those on the Pioneer and the Farmer)

Yes, for the ones who need the lanyard that's something missing on those knives!

Nice video, thank you! Because of your video I am buying the army 7. I would have preferred the two layer pioneer harvester but I cannot find one. I have subscribed to you and Look forward to more of your videos.

Happy Sunday again Guillaume . I did not post this information on your new Ranger review as I wanted to post it on here as it is more relevant to this review. I had several purchases arrive today, one was the Silver Tech scales which I fitted on the Ranger & another was the Swiss Army 6 ( AKA the Rancher ) bought new in box on Ebay for $46 including shipping from a supplier in Russia as it has been out of stock by me locally in Israel since early 2021. I also have the one layer Swiss Army 2 ( AKA the Pruner ) on order from him at $37.50 including shipping which hopefully will arrive early next month . Although the Swiss Army 2 is still in production my local Victorinox dealer does not stock it. I specifically bought these two silver Alox 93 mm variants of the Pioneer because they have the razor sharp Hawksbill bladed pruning knife as secondary blades, are not too heavy ( 1 & 2 layers ) & because they do not have key rings. What I did to today with the Swiss Army 6 was stick the Nite Ize pocket clip ( made for smartphones, tablets & electronic gadgets ) on the rear scale - the top of the clip aligned as near to the bottom end of the knife as possible just bellow the rivet / bolt head and as centered as possible along the scale with the clip opening pointed downwards in the direction of the main blade when opened. Its an adhesive strip based stainless steel clip with a 3M brand adhesive strip that takes 72 hours to set tightly to whatever clean flat plastic or metal surface you stick it on. I got the idea from reading a customer review of the Nite Ize clip on Amazon, the customer stuck the clip on the plastic scale of a 91mm Tinker ( going by the photo with the Philips on the back layer ) & it seemed to hold well in the 6+ months he has had it. So I bought several Nite Ize clips about 2 months ago & stuck one on a 3 layer plain red scaled Camper I bought back in March this year when it was included in the Spring Sale my local supplier had ( I buy most of my knives from him only when he has them on sale ) . I let it set 72 hours & it has held OK & I have carried it about 6 times in my daily rotation in 2 months. Its not as tight a pocket clip as the SwissQlip but if needs be you can squeeze the clip handle down a bit with a plier. I will see how well it holds on the 2 layer Swiss Army 6 before considering fixing one to a 2 layer regular silver Pioneer or buying the 3 layer Swiss Army 7 to fix a Nite Ize clip to it.

      Happy sunday again Steve,
You won't be disappointed by the Swiss Army 2 I think.
Your story about the Nite Ize pocket clip is interesting, thanks for sharing 👍

Thank you for this review, the harvester is also getting hard to find I had to purchase it directly from Victorinox. By the way, there is no such word in English as fastly, your use of the word quickly later was correct.

Re: Lack of key ring. The original Soldier, upon which the Pioneer range is based, did not have a key ring.
The Farmer does have a key ring. I removed mine with a dremel. Why? Because when you use the knife and, in particular, the saw, for any time and with effort and application, it digs into your hand.
If I were Victorinox I would put a key ring on all the models. That way, if you do not like it, you can always remove it.

The Pioneer is not based on the soldier knife, Pioneer is from 1957 and the soldier knife is based on the Pioneer.

I'm really liking the look of the victorinox Swiss army 7 for gardening I'm like you I've got to have the ✂️ in most of my EDC Swiss army knifes but the Swiss army 7 you don't need it that much for gardening i really like it with the saw and that fantastic small blade even a great blade for opening boxes i like it and no key ring on any of those alox Swiss army knifes i don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing 🤔 thanks very much for sharing those lovely Swiss army knifes what us 👍

Exactly Swiss Army 7 is a great one for gardening I think. For the key ring I don't know it depends what you like...
Thanks for you comment my friend 👍

@@K4TAndMore in case anyone sees this, Amazon UK delivers it to the US for under £8. I was about to order from a place that wanted to charge €30 to deliver a 48-gram knife. Dodged a bullet there! Thanks for the video!

Why nobody can just hold two knives of different thicknesses on their side next to eachother.. absolutely blows my mind. Probably the most annoying thing about victorinox CZcamsrs
