I’ve seen a couple of designs like this and love them. One thing i have incorporated into my design is an additional cross brace. Everyone uses a single cross brace but by adding a second brace, I can put a piece of plywood on the bottom as temporary storage for tools/small parts that I’m working with during my projects and not clutter up the top of the table.
@@Tadjourahurther more, you can widen the holding braces that go on the wall, so as to accommodate the lower plywood piece, the the rest of the table as shown here, all in one spot.
You made that look easy, but I still saw how much control, and muscle it took to lift that table, steady it, and hold it carefully. That sucker is heavy!
One suggestion to reduce the wobbles common on this type of fold-up bench with an unsecured cross brace is to put a threaded insert into each end of the cross brace and a hole in the bottom leg brace that lined up with the insert so that a bolt with a washer will go through the leg brace and screw into the insert. A knob on the end of the bolt would make it easy to tighten by hand. As suggested in another comment, add a second cross brace and lay a piece of plywood over the cross braces will you get some temporary shelf space is a great idea. Plus a second cross piece with the same threaded insert in the ends of the cross brace and bolts through the leg brace would lock the base together so firmly there would be little or no wrack to the workbench. The negative is that it would add another minute to set up and take down times.
LOVE THIS! AWESOME IDEA! Making them fold and even roll is great because then they can be stacked easy! Film crews that have to recycle wood should do this and make tables and workbenches that can be reused out of the construction wood!
Fantastic idea for the man that has to store his tools away because he doesn’t always have a project to work on and is either working in a small workshop or his garage, (Like me).
excelente! quem sabe um dia eu possa fazer assim com todos os meus móveis. sonho isso sempre! tenho muitos gatos iria me ajudar bastante. incrível genial!👏👏💯👍
haha you have no idea how much time you saved me... lol i was about to say i'll make this over the weekend... and then i read your comment and was reminded my bench always has stuff on it too lol.
Not to speak about having no empty wall available because off all the materials, tools and machine you (want) need to have to get the job done. 😅 Nice job and idea though !

A brilliant design, but I would improve a couple things. Namely, spring loaded locking pegs for the legs instead of the cross bar, and also make the bench long enough to accommodate traditional casters instead of the side mounted ones that would buckle under heavy loads over time.
Why not lock in the top first instead of holding it??
Looks like his arms aren’t long enough to reach the top locks until the center support is removed.
To show his strength! ❤
Thanks for pointing that out as well!
😂 i think same, it was wrong step. even on deploy
@@Happilee97Lool that’s sarcasm right ? He’s hand is right next to the lock while he’s holding it?

" temporary" storage with an inch (25mm) of sawdust over everything as it works in my shop.
@@allenkotlan3606 why you gotta attack me like that? You don’t know my life. I mean… you’re 100% correct but you don’t know me 😂

I need a dining room table I can do that with. Awesome!
Thanks!
I need a wife I can do that with.😁

Pretty awesome dude. I'd probably add 2 vertical 2x4 under the support wall beam just in case. Great job!
Thanks!
Agreed, I just added 2 small “L” brackets to ensure it doesn’t slip off when storing. Good job!!!
SIMPLESMENTE. EXPETACULAR. ADOREI !!!
Excellent idea!!!
Thank you!

Wonderful! A kitchen table would be great like this too if one had limited space.
Pretty optimistic thinking my workbench would ever be empty, but that might work if there was a window behind it and a skip outside.

Sangat praktis dan simpel 👍

Muy buena idea, solo creo que cuando la subes debemos poner los cerrojos primero y después quitar el (perno ) palo y doblar las patas. Exelente idea 🎉
Thank you!
That would be the most useless thing for my workbench to do, it is literally never cleared XD
haha i agree

This looks very very similar to the foldable workbench by diyforknuckleheads...
Clever!

For real. Wow. Great. I like it ❤
Thank you!
Great idea, I'm curious how sturdy it stays in place with those casters. Depending on the work being done I imagine a lot of jimmys and shakes?
Great idea.

I Like Those Casters, What Are They Called, Where Can I Get Those? Great Bench Idea By The Way, Very Creative!
Mantap sekali
Seem like it would be a bit wobble without any diagonal bracing, no? Can you open it and move it side to side?
Genial😊
What happens when the bottom part slips out and hits all 8 toes?
Cool
Do you have a plan for this table?
Here you go! www.etsy.com/listing/1370607572/
Might want a back plate. Your wall is not gonna like that edge when you lift it up each time
Looks like he already damaged the dry wall. (Bottom right)
