  • This is a discussion on good times to limp in satellites, something not originally discussed in the book Poker Satellite Strategy.

Author of Poker Satellite Strategy Dara O'Kearney sweats his co-author Barry Carter in a satellite session played on partypoker. They apply some of the main concepts from the book as well as introduce some new ideas for more advanced played. This is a recorded session Barry replayed to Dara, it wasn't a live sweat.

Thanks a lot for the limping perspective in satelites/tourneys with Q8s BTN hands etc. Wasn't thinking about it earlier.

Many thanks for doing this video Barry and Dara, very good points and also highlighting that when incorporating change, one has to be prepared to get worse before better. Liked the go 1 street with bottom pair, two with middle and three with top in the situations you described. Being a poor post flop player this was a useful guide for me. Enjoyed the video. TY

So he wrote a book about satellite strategy and doesn't know how to adjust a callingrange in icmizer?

Barry did the writing. Dara picked the shirts and is the satty expert. Team effort.
