    Nearly nine minutes of footage shot to provide the choice cuts for a thirty second spot on the newsreel. It's fortunate indeed that the bulk material was not simply junked and we have it here for viewing. Invaluable not only on historical grounds but also for students of carnival float design and construction, with many fine shots showing detail. The theme for the Krewe of Rex that year was "What Does The Sea Shell Say"; procession designed by Leda Hincks-Plauche.

      That’s literally all I noticed when watching this. How racist everything is. Not one black person in the crowd. SMH
