Yes, this was a gem that wasn't played on many FM stations even back then - just mostly on adult-contemporary lids (I remember it on WSTW in Wilmington, DE). I don't know if it was ever released on a 45 record, but I still have the cassette single. Definitely the song you played on your car stereo at 2am after the clubs closed down and you were alone in the parking lot once again. And it also helped if you had a place to drive to with a great nighttime view. It always struck me that he was kind of a Prince wannabe. But anyway, this song was helped immensely by the great arrangement, especially the Spanish guitar in the interval. Thanks for posting this so that our kids can get schooled!
