Just did this to one of my MKII mags that fell apart. Used a staking punch to re-peen the tabs on the failed portion of the mag. Two peens per tab down the spine and I think it's fixed. Can't get the mag to seperate with moderate force. Thank you!
Punch size probably isn't too important. I believe in this video I used a 3/32 roll pin punch that happened to be out on my bench. This could probably be done with a spring loaded center punch as well.

Is this the reason my savage isn’t feeding correctly? Brand new gun, brand new mags. Not feeding every 3rd or 4th time. Bolt gets totally stuck.
Also, mag feels super loose, especially when the bolt is open.
