I’ve literally followed you since your first video (so crazy). Seeing you throughout all these years, growing up with you (also a -97 april baby)… has been so wonderful. I’ve also moved around a lot during my 20s and just this summer moved into a flat with my boyfriend that felt like a HOME from the first day there. I feel like I can really relate to what you are saying here, there’s not an end date for when we have to leave this place, and it feels amazing.

I’m hopefully going to be moving in the next few months to my first home, I’ve lived in apartments and currently live with my dad because the cost of rent around here is insane. I’m hoping to find a home before Christmas, and your move has inspired me so much to just go ahead and do it. I feel ridiculous that I’ve already started buying the little things that I’ll need, it’s starting to look like an overstock showroom in my dad’s front room. I even bought a new set of sleepwear for my first night at my new place, and I’ve packed them away so I won’t be tempted to wear them early. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

And thank you for sharing the ups and downs of your journey. I wasn't very well when I moved in to my house last year, and for a long time after, so I didn't really get that excited buzz of the first few weeks.
I found myself walking around this morning feeling extra grateful for my home and everything in it. It's not perfect, but it's mine. I'm even looking forward to rooting through some unopened boxes that have been in the garage for the last 16 months.

It feels strange to say im so proud of what you've achieved when you have no clue who i am..but i do! Hi Emily, I so agree with your pact about being married before someone special moves into your house. I have witnessed too many sad situations where all that hard earned money went down the drain when the property gets to be divided when the relationship does not work well. You are business wise.

I remember my first night in my first place. It took me a long time to get out of on own, because dealing with family illnesses, and such being the oldest I really had to step in and take care of things for years. First night It was very quiet but I loved it

Definitely recommend living with someone before committing to marriage! Maybe like once you're engaged? What if there is mega red flags on living together?! Best to try it before making it legal & hard to end haha
