The difference on the first mile was probably because Garmin took longer to get a hold of a satellite. On the heart rate monitoring, I think Amazfit has made important improvements. I would love to see a comparison between GTR4 and a proper chest heart rate monitor. Thanks for the video!
It's nice to see this, thanks! I actually returned the Garmin and kept the Amazfit because I like it's app and interface better, not to mention the price! I still have my apple watch 7 so money is not everything but I like the GTR4's style and capabilities even though there is a trade off of not using my apple watch any longer. I really love it! I dislike the apple watch's shape as well as how limited they are in watch faces.

Garmin is not the benchmark for HRM. In fact Garmin is terrible at HRM for gym activities and cycling I suggest you compare all smatwatch to polar H10 chest HRM
Can you please talk about GTR 4 sleep data? My GTR 4 sometimes do not detect if I am sleeping and most of the times, do not detect all the sleep hours ?

No, both the watches are the same in the performance department. GTR 4 features the same dual band GPS tech found on T-Rex 2. Heart rate tracking on GTR 4 & T-Rex 2 is pretty much the same which is good. One benefit that GTR 4 has over T-Rex 2 is the support for chest based HR strap for even more accurate readings.

Want accurate hr, get the hauwei gt3 pro. It beats Garmin anyday and up with apple. Both these have inaccurate hr and not up with huawei and apple
