Day trip to the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) Aviation Hall & Weta Workshop Unleashed in Auckland, New Zealand.
This is great value for money. The entrance fee is around $20 NZ, which includes access to the Museum plus a return Tram ride to the Aviation Hall and back. A very educational look at the history of New Zealand's mechanical development.

Yes, some impressive planes on display.
It's not until you stand under these monsters that you fully comprehend the shear size and the engineering accomplishment in getting them into the air.
