While the dancing isn't 'my thing', anyone who criticizes the schools methods are null/void when the students are interviewed. Diverse, eloquent, and properly spoken English that is rarely heard from adults nowadays, much less 7th graders. Hats off to Mr. Clark !
God bless Ron Clark.....his story is so remarkable....The excuses I make in my life really is a self-prison....Just knowing this man makes a difference in students lives and etc to aspire their dreams...inspires me...
This is what I'm talking bout!! YES, encourage the babies! Now watch the student's enthusiasm hit the roof for education and sore!! A little love , understanding, and encouragement goes a long way! AWESOME JOB teacher!!
This seriously made my day!!! It bought tears to my eyes. I love to see children enjoying themselves while also receiving a quality education. Low income students also need a chance to succeed, thanks Ron Clark for being apart of the solution. Kids?? Your dance moves are amaze!!!!
The Ron Clark Academy is going a completely different route on how to impact students other than expanding the building for thousands of kids. It accommodates a hundred kids and its expansion beyond that is to accommodate adult training lessons for teachers because that is Mr. Clark's new goal. You should go to one of their adult training sessions if you are an administrator with the highest level of leadership over education. I have a suggestion for Ron Clark from the Ron Clark Academy: Mr. Clark, you should gear some of your adult training sessions for administrators with the highest level of leadership over education. If superintendents were the ones who attended your adult training sessions, they could use what they have learned and hold their principals accountable to that level, then the principals can do the same to their assistants and when principals and assistants work together, this will eventually go to the teachers. I know you want to teach the teachers, but you can do better than that by teaching the administrators and watching them teach the teachers.
Right when it said non profit that had my attention. And they had a slide. They’re children and they want to have fun. They’re doing something right for these children and I’m sure they will go places
how people going to dislike this teacher he jus trying to relate to kids to show them u teach me and I'm teach u I bet the dislike is from some hateful people who wanna keep tis world divided
This school is amazing. The kids are amazing. I went this summer and it is unbelievable. Our school has implemented the house system and it is awesome. The people at that school are so good it isn't even funny. Go and visit it if you have a chance.
Guess what? Ron Clark is still a proud White man. Helping disadvantaged youth did not change that, but it made his life and anyone around him great. You don't have to learn hip hop to join in and love everyone. It will make you happier and have a fulfilled life. You only get one, live it with love.
+jackie9486 A study done on African American children said that they learn better academically when music is involved....do some research. You completely ignored the college part.
nalo 101 Music is one thing. They dancing and bucking around like this some gone with the wind shit. You don't need to dance around like a fool with black children in order to connect with them so they can learn. This is game.
jackie9486 u act like there dancin every second of the day, what u saw was a bonus, maybe even something they earned because of good grades. They are teaching these children and these kids are going to college. And plus their happy.....stop thinking of everything as exploitation when it comes to us, we have to enjoy ourselves sometimes.
+Eric Antoine There's several inner city academies run by black teachers that produce high achieving students, but you won't hear about it because the principal is not white. Just because it's not on the news doesn't mean it's not happening!
+Eric Antoine Urban Prep Charter Academy in Chicago would be one example, almost 98% college enrollment rate and run by black male teachers. Do some research fuck boy
I'm black and opened the first Reggio Emilia inspired preschool in southern Maryland. We serve mostly children in marginalized communities and present a progressive pedagogy. Not to mention we only serve organic and healthy meals and offer culinary arts, yoga, horticulture, and art classes.

+nalo 101 I bet if we're a black male teacher wasting class time with these students like this you would not be OK with it.
