    I’m replacing my Axle seals + bearings on my rear axle on my 1999 Ford Ranger. This helped me identify and measure very well. Nice explanation.

    DANA T , 46636, 41-11 MAIL761
    DANA D2, 46636, 41-11, V1L72
    Dana T is from a Viper (not sure what year). Dana D2 is from a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2wd. Both have the same basic shape. What are the odds they are the same part? These are numbers off the pinion gears. Both ring gears are marked with the dana t and dana d2 with a 44765, 41-11. (3.73 ratio)

    2000 jeep cherokee xj Will a broken leaf spring shackle bracket cause the rear end to be a little off enough to where you can hear a noise in the rear end? I have replace Ring Gear and what i call cluster bearing with what i know was a good set up out of my other Jeep with the same ratio. New axle bearing, no help. I thought well has to be pinion bearing then i thought will that broken shackle bearing cause that rear end to be off centered and make a noise???

    Is it possible for a differential with two different size axle shafts?

    • @roberteuton
      @roberteuton Před rokem +1

      i have a shaft thats larger than the bearings in kit, have you found your answer

    • @454BGBLK
      @454BGBLK Před rokem +1

      Yes! So we ended up having one axle shaft shorter than the other. Field mechanic was working on a freightliner water truck and removed both shafts at once and re installed them backwards. Truck didn’t move after that. I kept telling him the only thing he could’ve done different was put them backwards and sure enough….
      Hope this helps anyone else
