They tried that balance band crap on me at the mall once. They didn't know I'm a Nurse. We are taught points of balance to safely transfer patients. I turned the tables on them in front of a crowd and gave a demo myself. Needless to say they weren't there the next day.😂😂😂😂

It's honestly shocking and extremely disappointing that companies are able to get away with this crap. If I do any of this as a private citizen, then I'm going to jail for fraud. But do it through a corporation and it's just called being a savvy business man. Now that's some shit.

Most of these ads are for companies based in other countries. I'm guessing US consumer protection laws can't do anything about it, but you would think they should. At the very least, the FCC should be able to do something about the false claims in the advertisements.

There was an ad two years ago for a Christmas tree that comes quite flat and you push’s remote and the tree rises up to 6’ tall and the branches spread evenly around the tree. It came with lights and a little train that went around the tree. I was so impressed I bought one for my daughter for Christmas as their tree was done and told her she could open it before Christmas so they could display it. What I got was a small bag that just had af few branches in it… enough to make a very bare 5 inch tree. There was a small pkg. of LED lights ( 10 lights on it) and a few time decorations you can get in the dollar store. It’s a good thing we have a sense of humour and just burst out laughing at what I got but I paid $99.00 for something that immediately went in the garbage. I wrote them but of course never heard a word back.
I have ordered bras for the mature woman it 1 get two free and only 1 bra came and I swear it was so tiny it didn’t even fit my ten year old granddaughter. It ended up being another lesson learned and more money down the drain.

Back in the 1980s, I did some modeling for a famous hair brand. What I found most confusing/disturbing was that the stylists used all sorts of products, not necessarily from the brand advertised. For example, they did a treatment on my hair that made it SUPER soft and shiny, but only for about a week. Worked great for the photos. But if anyone saw my pictures, would they assume the only products used were that brand? I think so. And refused any more work from the agency that booked me.

I actually won a gold metal (in game in HomeScapes during 2019) for having the team/group with the most points or something like that in the ENTIRE game during an event. I also remember GardenScapes, the first game by the company that features Austin, the Butler and some cutscenes. The ads aren’t technically wrong in either, because there are scenes like that but with more graphics and less bright colors. So basically, you fix certain places up, such as the water fountain (probably GardenScapes) or the attic or something (probably HomeScapes) and you see Austin there doing his daily routine, and you can tap him to make him do stuff. That’s only for when you run out of whatever the thing was called (I think it was energy or stamina) that made it so whenever you tried a level and failed, you would lose some. Once you hit 0, you couldn’t do anything anymore until you got more energy/stamina. There were cutscenes, too, but it was a picture of them with a bar of text beneath it, and they would be “talking” and stuff. One of the games that are similar to this is Merge Mansion, where it also features a character renovating their grandparents house (like HomeScapes, just with the main character being female, the grandma actually showing up more than once every 80 something levels and only staying for a few levels, the grandparents don’t help and it doesn’t feature any event things).

I only ordered 1 product from wish, or actually my mom did as a present for my bday. They send the wrong product, or actually it was the right product. It was supposed to be this kind of necklace/pocketwatch thingy with the shadowhunters logo on it (shadowhunters is 1 of my favourite tv shows) and i did get the necklace pocketwatch thingy with the ACDC logo on it. My mom said sending it back would be more expensive then just reordering it. So we reodered it and this time i did get it with the shadowhunters logo. Luckily i have a friend that's into rockbands, so i gave the ACDC 1 to her. They both did look like the photo on the wish site.

I've ordered lots of stuff from Wish, and 98% has been good. You really have to read the description and not only look on the pictures 🙂.
