The sound of the HDD, the windows start, the clicky keyboard and last but not least - Doom with FM-music on desktop-pc-speakers - the perfect 90s experience🤩
Wow, I've seen many of your videos. That's a lot of retro computers, and they're all so clean and functioning. A priceless collection! Well done.
Thanks for posting these types of vidoes on various machines. Helps preserve the nostalgia. :)
Much appreciated 😊
@@PCUSER486can I send you a floppy disk from 1993 to print out or transfer to modern text?
@@PennYankeeWoodworks no bozo you cant
@@ramrodbldm9876when did you start answering for pcuser?
Nice try but he responded and I’m sending my disk to him. So jokes on you
except I went from 1994 to 2020s when seeing the purple fingernails. Since there were no mental illnesses of this kind back then
While living in Poland, I had an Atari 65XE in 1988, an Amiga 500 in 1990, and an Amiga 1200 with HD (420 MB) in 1993 and an additional 4 MB fast RAM. In 1995 I bought
a PC 486\DX4\100 MHz. First, I played with DOS but I used Norton Commander. In 1996 I had a Pentium 120, I think, and in October 1996 I bought 3DFX - Greetings from Poland
The real doom experience, with no strafing or mouse look :) I loved wolf3d, doom, quake, and duke nukem 3d, but doom is the game I always come back to.
You know, when installing doom, you have an option somewhere to enable mouse compatibility so you don't have to struggle lile we did when we were kids :D
That poor keyboard. What did it ever do to you? The way you smacked those enter keys XD.
Bad habit since I was 8 years old lol
LOL XD FR
Back in 1997, I had a Packard Bell with DOOM on it. I'd play it almost every day after school 😂 Great memories, and awesome video! ❤
One of the best part of this video is the sound of mechanical keyboard!
Concordo
Not the way they fucking SLAP the shit out of every key on it though.
Great stuff bro :)
Feels good to see old machines !
The 90s at its finest😊
Wow, very nice and impressive collection!!
Hello from the other side (France).
I went to some retro game stores lately, and none of them had PC game or old PCs.
I'm a PC Game since 1991...the 486DX2 running DarkForces 2 was my Xbox 360.
I'm really thinking this needs to change. Maybe I'll open a retro game store and have an actual PC section.
You have some beautiful machines.
that Microsoft sound brings me back... to the first day I turned on my brand new custom built unit with all my friends hanging over my shoulder anxious to see what the new pc could do. When that sound played one of my friends asked "What the heck was that?", to which I responded " A really annoying sound I fully intend to find and delete." I did indeed find that sound, delete it and proceeded to choose a sound snippet from Monty Python to use in it's place. I believe it was a sound bite of one of John Cleese saying "Go on then, get on with it."
Playing without a mouse, wow that is retro!
Oh wow ..this takes me back .. like a month ago i visited Seattle doing some game hunting and ran across this store that sells old PCs and parts .. definitely on a goal on having a old PC ...this looks amazing
Simply AMAZING. I saw some shorts right now and instant subscribe. That good ol' OPL MIDI card with Doom sounds soooo good....
I have the same habit with SMASHING the enter key too BTW xDDDD
Just Subscribed 😊😊
I remember those Gateway mousepads. Man that Gateway 2000 pc broke down often. Good times though. I think I played starcraft ii on it.
I would love to see inside some of these cases.
Love hearing the soundtrack the way we all actually heard it :D No shitty wavetable sounds
I liked all the videos, i worked started dos format. Thanks for reminding.
What a great collection! Congrats! Do you have any one with Linux?
@@sebassalgado some yes thx 🥂
@@PCUSER486 show them off too 😉
Love your content & collection! 😍
Thank you 😊
Stay safe, charge into rooms full of demons \m/ 💖
Also I remember seeing ads for these Aptiva machines in magazines when I was a kid, they were well out of my reach then so I'm happy to see one in action 🙂
You really gotta register that shareware version of DOOM
- Id Software, probably
Cool love your videos
Much appreciated 😊

How your PCs are so white??? These things are 30 years old!!!
He is cleaning them regularly i guess.

Very close to my first computer. I had an IBM 233 Mhz, 32MB ram.
Great sharing ❤
It's like brand new, good job
Aaaaa the infamous MMX. Used to burst up in flames occasionally 😁
We got doom installed on our school computer there was a literal 7 day que for a 20 min slot everyone speed running doom lol
Did you grow up in that era aka is this nostalgia for you? Or you are just a fan?
You have an amazing collection!
Oh yes, that Start Sound, the Memories of that Time and the Feelings. When you say your replaced the Cpu or something, i must think about the Drivers ? Back in the Day, you needed all those specific Drivers for all that Hardware, do you have them still ? Or how does it work now ?
I miss it. I miss it more than is healthy, I miss it more than is good for me, but there is something about these old beastly machines, so primitive compared to what we have now, I find alluring. It reminds me of going back, in a way. I think it's true for me, and maybe for all of us obsessed with nostalgia and the past. When we play with these old trinkets, what we're really doing is reconnecting to the part of us that could be awestruck and mesmerized by what was, at the time, cutting edge technology. The world was spanned with miles and miles of copper and fiber and suddenly you could converse with anyone, anywhere, at a fraction of the speed of light. People from disparate geographies but sharing similar interests could convene together. For someone like me, a total misfit where I grew up, it was a sanity-saving deliverance from a place that was... let us delicately call it parochial. The web was new. The information age promised much. Too much, maybe, but we wouldn't learn that until much later. Then came the Millennium, the anxiety over the Y2K bug, and the sigh of relief when nothing happened. Until... well, until something happened. The new millennium began with terrorism, continued with a financial crisis, and now we are in a place where there is a non-zero chance fascistic thuggery will eclipse democracy in only a few months' time. So yes. It is so very tempting to go back, because in a way, we aren't going back to the baubles and trinkets of childhood.
We're going back home.
What a damning indictment of a sad life, isn't it? But thank you for these videos. I feel like I'm reconnecting to who I used to be when I watch them.
It would not surprise me if you spent years being a nerdy outsider. Now everyone can see you are undeniably awesome!🤩
Its A Nostalgia Channel
With ATI Rage II you can run Tomb Raider 1 800X600 res. with the patch😉
nice content
Love your channel, keep making them. Can’t get enough.
cd doom \ doom. Nostalgic!
The guy saying this brings you back to 1995 brother, were you even around then?
Thanks for the video bro this is awesome👍
nice desktop background
This is so old! But i am as well xD Thanks for the nostagia!
playing doom on an keyboard exclusively... that brings back memories
I wonder what this would play like on an SSD with all the same hardware.
My childhood ,
XD
Duke Nukem 3D
May I suggest you zoom in when the game-play is about to start?
Awesome collection, very clean.
Out of curiosity, what do you like about collecting retro computers? I'd love to collect them, but I don't have the space and am not really sure what I'd use them for. I still play classic PC games on my modern machines, so I don't see myself using a classic computer much, but boy these videos give me the wants!
Can you please do a msdos defrag vid on original hard drive. Thanks :)
Certified algorithm moment
I miss the “fluidity” of CRTs..
All your base are belong to us. I have good news for you, Doom 1 and 2 Enhanced Edition was released. :)
you replace the amd with intel?
on the same cpu socket?
Good afternoon, I have a serious cuestion, I already installed windows 95 on a HP Vectra VL2, but I have a problem with some devices, the computer doesn't recognize the mouse, only the keyboard, what can I do?
Hello Pc_user_486 does it with Linux too. Caldeira, Corel Linux, Red Hat, Slackware, Mandrake...
This stuff is so cool, brings me back.
do you have a PC with GeForce 256
this computer can run command and conquer red alert 1?
Wow... this brings back some memories.
Great PCs! 🎉 Can you try to run Tomb Raider (1996) on it? I'd love to see it running like in the 90s.
My Rage ii 2mb ram 😭😭😭
You on Z daemon??
so many old computers ?! cAnt believe ?! HAVE you a mouse made in japan ?
These ibm computers are still operational and can we access internet on them?

I'm surprised you're not playing with the mouse considering you have it right there
Classic Doom is played with keyboard only, mouse aiming was added years later
@@kyoban6673 Doom has always had mouse controls, it's just that at the time of its release most people didn't have one

Awesome Video !
Omg I remember that mouse pad😵 always reminded me of a cow hide, called it the cow pad
It's funny how Doom's imps sound like camels. I can't help but remember camel riders from Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition. Killing an imp sounds like selecting or killing an AOE2DE's camel rider.
PLAY WARCRAFT 3 THE FROZEN TRONE!!!!

BTW can you use keyboard only to navigate and do all possible stuff in Windows? I can. 😎 Loong time ago I startup one of PCs in the university but the mouse was broken. So I didn't had any choice than use keyboard only. Since then I have this skill: manage Windows with keyboard only and do it dometimes even in Win 10.
It's not particularly difficult, lol.
@@AureliusR for people who has experience with x386-may be but for modern pc customers- it's almost impossible.
@@stanislavplatonov4188 not really... the keyboard shortcuts are still mostly the same. Tab, alt-space, alt+letter for menus. There's a reason letters are still underlined in menu titles. And I know lots of people who can navigate without a mouse.
