And yes, except a microscopic minority, no rational Hindu ever believes that Kabba is a Shiv Linga. Hinduism is an extremely old faith, in which thousands of scriptures were written even before the birth of Islam.
Had it been a Shiv Linga then generations of Hindus would have made pilgrimages to it. No credible account exists mentioning that and neither have our legendary hindu sages ever mentioned it.
Yes, the Arab world did pray to statues before the birth of Islam. But then so did others....so those statues automatically do not become those of hindu gods.
