Awesome job! Thank you so much!
FANTASTIC TECHNIQUE... xoxo :)
Love this idea. The butterfly turned out really cute;) I am going to try it on a onsie for my Grand baby.
Your videos are so helpful. Is there an easy way to make a rainbow?
Hi, you could just lay the strips in the color order that you wanted. If you wanted more shape (circular) shape to them then you will need to do more cutting and piecing which may make it a little difficult. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Love the idea great video, thanks bunches ms.Amy, beautiful butterfly

Hi. Thanks for this fantastic video. CRAFTERS NEVER WASTE. A great way to make use of scraps.
I've got a question for you. I am a proud owner of a HUMBLE PORTRAIT2. Will the blade get caught where the vinyl joins? 😟
Thanks for sharing and caring. 👍👍👍💕
Hi, as long as you have everything adhered down the blade will not get caught. We have done a lot of these and haven't had a problem yet.

Love this idea - your mat looked clear. Was this on a Cricut?
Hi this was done on a Silhouette mat but you can follow the exact same process for a Cricut. It will work great.
Great video
Cute!
I love your video but am new and I have a problem when to mirror a design and how to place the vinyl on the mat .is there newby video from ev that would help me. Love this technique. Do you mirror this one?
Hi Debbie, if you are using heat transfer vinyl or iron on vinyl then yes, you would want to mirror your image. All the heat transfer vinyl that we carry has a clear cover to it. You will face that down on the cutting mat. The other side is actually the adhesive. It doesn't activate until you add heat to it. Hopefully this helps a little. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hello love this technique. Do you have any trouble with the stripes of the vinyl coming apart or sticking when cutting?
We have not had issues with them coming apart or sticking when cutting.
@@Expressionsvinyls thanks so much
Would this work with adhesive vinyl?
Hi Dana, yes it would. Just apply the strips to your mat, you wouldn't need to worry about the carrier sheet. Once you have cut them, keep them right on the mat to weed. After you have weeded your image then apply the transfer tape so that nothing is out of place. Hopefully this helps.
Cute idea. Thanks
Can this be done with adhesive vinyl
Yes, you can layer with adhesive vinyl too
@@Expressionsvinyls Is there a video tutorial for that method
Gives a whole new realm to scraps
So many ideas!
I wish I saw this technique 2 days ago. LOL
Oh no, well now you have it for your next project.
Could you use heat mask to lay your strips of htv on if you didnt have a carrier sheet?
Yes, you could do that as well.
Love the soft color and look of the shirt. Do you happen to know where it was purchased and what brand it is?
Hi Sharon, the little blue shirt we used in this was purchased at Walmart!
