- What’s happening in this “The Great Wall” movie clip?
The Nameless Order is under attack from the Tao Tei. Commander Lin Mae (Jing Tian from Pacific Rim: Uprising) finds himself alone in front of an army of these creatures. But luckily, William (Matt Damon from Jason Bourne and Will Hunting) manages to save her and she blows them all up with a grenade. Then, they come up with a plan to exterminate the creatures, who obey the orders of their queen.

What’s the movie “The Great Wall” about?
William Garrin (Matt Damon from Jason Bourne and Will Hunting), a mercenary imprisoned in the jails of the Great Wall of China, discovers the secret function of the world's most colossal wonder. The edifice trembles under the relentless attacks of monstrous creatures, whose relentlessness is matched only by their thirst to annihilate the entire human species. He then joins a secret army which fights against these creatures.

Firstly it's a grenade, not a rock. Secondly it has a fuse of a few seconds until it explode. Thirdly, if he'd just throw the grenade, there's a huge chance of it missing the intended target.

Now I get why having the emperor cower behind the throne would seem hilarious, but here's the thing: an emperor can run, he can hide, he can retreat and bide his time, but he can never disgrace his position. Out of all of the disrespects and insults this movie has visited upon ancient Chinese history and culture, this is perhaps the most egregious, an emperor that behaves this way will not be emperor for long, neither the court nor the people will rally behind someone like that.
Couldn't the person who lit the grenade just threw it instead of passing it to three other people?

But ngl crane Corp theme is really good especially when they die . So probably thats the reason why director chose to feed them to doggos
@@infinityabyss2559 Yah it makes for really good drama even though it's not a practical strategy. I would have liked it better if they used explosives instead of spears, or maybe both, and their kill count at the first wall attack was higher. It would have made their sacrifices more meaningful.

It only goes to show that no matter how beautiful a movie looks or how much you spend to make it (this is the most expensive movie shot entirely in China), if the script is terrible it's probably going to suck

An awful movie with a stupid plot 😂
To think this movie grossed $335 million worldwide and lost $75 million
I loved the movie - for all the wrong reasons!!!...no need to analyze it - but yeah...if one of these things has the power and speed of almost a Hulk - a million of these would be unstoppable....More realistic would have been 50 or 100 of these versus 50 000 people.... this monster horde would not even slow down against people with sticks and spears....each small monster weighs 2 Tons...it would literally be like fighting a Dinosaur on steroids and 3 x the speed...
A dinosaur on steriods? A T-Rex would squash these things like a bug... Also they have explosives too which are extremely effective against the horde.
