If you compare earlier pictures of Marty, he did seem to slim down a bit later in his life. His genuine love of life also helped contribute to his boundless energy, plus, he was wired that way. He didn't seem to have an "off" switch. When you love what you're doing, it keeps you youthful in spirit and that helps keep you younger in body. It's all interconnected. Age is really only a number.
Is this date wrong? The Nat King Cole show referenced in one of the jokes was only on 1956-1957, no? Unless there's another layer to that joke I'm not getting....
I'll bet a lot of girls were mad about both of them. Marty had been happily married since 1960, and I assume was off limits. I don't know Steve's status at that time. If he had been available, I would lay my money on Marty having gotten the most chicks. But neither of them would have been lonely for very long. They were a very appealing pair.

This never ceases to be funny. Every time I watch it, it's funny. Classic humor -- simple, relatable, silly, lovable.
Wow, some great dancing from Marty!!! Such a simple line "Hello dere" but I still remember it over 50 years later!

Cole was hosting the Hollywood Palace episode this clip was taken from.
