SSD Internationals 2023: "A Dragons Deception" ★ Dinero Dressage

We had a wonderful time riding our International routine for SSD in which we placed second. It was an amazing experience as a team and we're so excited to see what the future holds for us!

ENG: Once upon a time, there was peace between the dragons and the humans. They helped each other as good neighbors would. But the humans were greedy. They wanted more of everything, more food, more land, more strength.
The relationship between the dragons and humans quickly worsened, the atmosphere was tense and only a spark was missing for it all to explode. And explode it did not too soon after. The dragons attacked the humans after the spark was delivered by godly voices.
War raged for centuries though it was always clear that the humans wouldn’t be able to win against fire-spitting, flying monsters. So, after a battle in which many of the human soldiers were killed, the remaining humans decided to call upon the magicians.
They gathered in the middle of the battlefield, surrounded by dragons who came to take the last human’s life’s, they danced in a circle, begging the skies above to send them the magicians that
would be able to slay the dragons inching in on them.
The amused gods, who had been quite enjoying watching the war, decided to send the humans the magicians they yearned for. Though the gods weren’t kindhearted like one would expect - maybe they even were the reason why the dragons attacked? In the middle of the circle the humans had formed to beg, four figures appeared; magicians, sent from above. They used their strength to weaken the surrounding dragons, forcing them to retreat.
But there was a twist. One of the magicians was Arion, a half-dragon, half-human. Not even the other magicians knew about the trick the gods had played. Arion and the magicians helped the humans rebuild their cities and regain their strength.
The humans were grateful, thanking the gods every day, which quite humored the gods. The longer they waited to reveal their cards, the louder the screams of betrayal coming from these greedy creatures would be. The dragons stayed back on the gods’ request and Arion stayed hidden amongst the humans.
After years and years of yearning to attack the dragons, the humans thought to have finally gathered enough strength the attack the dragons. But just before the humans started their march to the battlefield, Arion revealed that the so-thought-helpful and kind magician was actually a dragon that was sick and tired of the human’s greedy and selfish behavior.
Arion opened the city gates, revealing the army of dragons and god-sent creatures before watching the world burn.
