As an animator, i find this hilarious. I'd totally be like "yeah lemme just animate some intense gore real quick"

They do, and there has been some really sinister stuff floating from time to time that leaks to the net. There are horrors at Disney we are never meant to know.

All rich corporations/people have their secrets. Think about it, the people who founded and run these companies have made their living off of creating and experimenting. Now that they’re rich and have money to do whatever, why would they NOT try outlandish things that only a copious amounts of money can buy?

@@jackgarrison8497 From what Bollocks Conspriacy I remember that tries to counter that, it claimed that Walt Disney's head was detached and Frozen, while the _Rest_ of his Body was Cremated with a False Head.
I call it Bollocks because if that were the case, the Disney Corporation would have Destroyed the Head, as Walt Disney HATED Corporate Greed, and tried to avoid having it within his Company.
He was more interested in his Artists and Workers actually pulling their own weight, rather than shoving their workload unto the Veterans and having said lazy workers take the Credit. Unfortunately, he had to pull the Policies that Punished those Lazy Credit Thieves when they kicked up a Shitstorm.

Disney wouldn't let some animator no matter how talented have unwarranted access to the Disney Vault... It would all be on a need to know basis.

@nicwelch likely because if they gave some random animator access to their entire vault, they could mess with every little thing in it and end up ruining multiple projects and such. Think of it as giving a stranger your SSN, Driver's License, and Birth Certificate: you wouldn't do that because those documents are too important and they could mess you up if they had them.

I actually wasn’t allowed to watch Disney as a kid. Very few other movies were forbidden and I got to watch things my friends only dreamed of. Their parents would say other movies were too violent...my folks would counter with all the horrors shown in cartoon on these family films: fox hunts (Fox and the Hound), animal abuse (Dumbo, 101 Dalmatians), parents murdered (Bambi), sibling abuse (Cinderella), attempted murder (Snow White), murder (Lion King), etc, etc?
My parents were strongly against the fact that the characters in Disney always lost at least one parent. They felt it was telling kids “you don’t need parents, no one will be there for you”.
Little Mermaid didn’t come out until I was 11 and by then you couldn’t have paid me to watch a “kids show”.
As an adult I love Disney movies. But I actually agree with my parents decision, with only a few exceptions Disney makes parents/guardians redundant. And unlike the violence in Loony Tunes that so over-the-top and fake, the violence in Disney is very true to life.
People had always talked about how Disney must have hated mothers because only the dads survived most of the time

Kind of a complicated film. On one hand, it's got that whole "life was good on the plantation for blacks" fantasy going on. On the other Disney was one of the few people to actually hiring black actors in the 1940s.

I like the nuance of the protagonist here, saying that he wanted to be a positive cog in a machine despite its dubious nature, and even I the face of such horror he still acknowledges the good without ignoring the blatant corruption. Not something I often see in stories like this.

Hey can someone if not Mr pasta himself point me to the complete video about a man who finds a hole in the woods I think it was a government latch? And there are monsters deep inside but he keeps going and gets to a “room” with houses that are all the same with monsters inside. He climbs a ladder and get into a grate and crawls deeper into it until he comes to this room and in the hall way there is a creature that is essentially a human spider a person with multiple limbs and would scatter Across the ground. He eventually gets out but that’s all I remember. I’m sorry I’m being really vague but if anyone can point me to a video I would be more than appreciative of the help. 🙂
Half way though I was thinking about how higher ups would react to him browsing these files. It made sense that they would do what they did, but the execution and delivery took me off guard even through I had like 2-3 possible scenarios.
Turned out I was overcomplicating them.
