I have been really impressed with the Tonex so far. This thing blows my Iridium out of the water. I love having true captures for amps like Soldano, Magnatone, Matchless, etc without having to have a huge Helix or Kemper or Fractal unit. Super portable and sounds incredible.
Although I understand the whole tone partner update on the computer and have used it to try out some of the captures there, I prefer to purchase my captures from the source. I've done that with as much of my gear as possible. An in-between generally just slows down or limits communication.
I bought a Irig HD X and it doesn't want to work with Amplitube and only sometimes with Tone X. It works fine with Bias FX 2 but it has a noticeable amount of signal noise. I'm about to toss it and get a Xsonic Xtone Pro.
For me this is an almost but not quite from IK. Being able to download Tone Partners captures is only halfway there, why not allow all 3rd party captures? We can already load IRs into IOS Tonex using the IOS files system so surely this could be extended to Captures. Anyhoo, great demos as always 👍
Unfortunately Tonex for IOS does not support the import of 3rd party tone models. It can though utilize tone models purchased from Tone Partner's from ToneNet. Hope that helps!
Hi Jason thanks for the video I’ll be taking a look at your tones! I have a question I hope you might be able to help with. I have Tonex on IPad with the irig HDX but I’m struggling to get decent input levels. The Level in and out in the settings of tonex has to be cranked right up and even then the input level monitor isn’t anything like as high as yours in this video. Out of interest is your IPad the new USB C connection? Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. btw I have an Evo 4 interface which works just fine.
@jasonsadites I have a ToneX SE licence on iOS and currently I have already downloaded 14 ToneModels: if I buy on ToneNET one of your collections, will I be able to import/download all the included tone models or just six (due to the limit of 20 downloaded tone models of my SE licence?)
Thanks for the message. I have been told by IK Muktimedia that any purchased tone models for the Tone Partners such as myself do not count against the 20 limit. Therefore you can purchase as many tone models from them you want and be able to import them into Tonex SE. Hope that helps :-)

How do I load a presets I have downloaded, into slot A or B of my Tonex One pedal using the IOS ap.
I just purchased some of your amp captures and I can’t find any way to install them into my IPad Pro TONEX iOS app… how do you do it?
I do not believe Tonex for IOS acts as a Librarian for Tonex One unfortunately.
