That's because the ones that they're wearing are men's jeans. Probably a slim fit though, but still mens. That's how I make all of my shorts!
I found some recently by Vercace and they fit me perfectly. I'm really slim but also not the shortest person so I was so surprised that they fitted me. The best thing is that they were free. :~)

Since I'm pear shaped I literally have never been able to find mom jeans that fit me. They're either too tight on the legs and butt or too big in the waist and in length
