Daisuke-han had serious neck issues at the time (he had a surgery just after filming Menkata Cottelee). So they had to stop touring and everything, so I think Ryo wanted to give fans something so they won't get bored during hiatus. I'm suspecting it was supposed to be one of the minor songs in the album but they decided to shoot a music video for it because it was a lighter song and appropriate for Daisuke at the time.
The conversation at the end is Daisuke saying "Wait, aren't we gonna start the heavy part now? Like we did for 'your little hand'? I thought this was a troll song again. My part is called 'the screachy noisy one', so it doesn't make sense if I don't do any screaming or growling." And then Nao explains that this is a serious song and makes fun of him about his neck and that he really looks like his mum (Mitsue) when he took off his sunglasses. Ryo and Ue-chan are really shy so you never hear them speak on music videos or lives. But Ryo has changed since he lost weight and now he's talking a lot on media, but still never in lives.
The song is basically about them moving from VAP to Warner music (the title means "Dear VAP"). But the lyrics aren't in Japanese but in "Planet Ryo language". So you're probably right that it may sound Spanish or English at times, because it's kind of meant to sound foreign to everyone. They later sold a sheet that you can use to translate Planet Ryo language into Japanese.

This is accurate. Ryo usually compose the lyrics and its called Harapeko. I heard that even Japanese having a hard time understanding what it means

'Harapeko' is the official name of their fans. It means a hungry situation in Japanese. So if Japanese people only say one word 'hara-peko', it means 'I'm hungry'. 'hara'=stomach, 'peko'=a short version of the onomatopoeic word expressing an empty situation 'peko-peko'.
Even we Japanese don't catch what they sing, if we don't read the lyrics. There are some songs the lyrics are not open to the public. So we only enjoy them without understanding their meanings.
@@4600 Yeah, Ryo writes lyrics in like a collage of words. So even us Japanese struggle to interpret it. In my opinion that gives more depth to their songs.

Daisuke (the singer) can play all of Nao's parts on drums. They don't do it often, but every now and then when playing live, Nao and Daisuke will swap places for a few songs (obviously ones where Nao has a lot of singing parts)

Some of MtH's songs end with Ryo making a quack noise, sort of like this one. I usually find it pretty jolting and unexpected. If you listen to 'Koi No Kinako Watashi Ni Kudasai', it's a beautiful piano (yes, not metal) song, but then "MWAAH!!!". So whenever I listened to a new MtH song, I gotta pay attention if Ryo's gonna give me a slight heart attack at the end.

'Haikei' of this song's title 'Haikei VAP Dono' is a conventional word used at the beginning of the letter. 'Dono' is a polite one respecting someone or some kind of organization using after the name. So this is like making the English phrase 'Dear 〜' polite.

You know what the woman in a drum and a guy in the guitar are siblings! (Drummer lady is older). Anyways, I think at that time when they released this MV, a guy in a vocal got surgery on his neck because he has done headbang too much so that's why they stopped to do shows just temporary for his recovery and made some pop song for fans. And VAP means a Japanese record label that managing MTH I believe. Japanese title "拝啓VAP殿" means "Dear VAP," actually, so seems like they made a song for their record label. (Company might be under the warner records... Not sure...) The last part was quite hilarious..... So let me give you guys an easy translation for that part... The filming crew was like "Cut, okay it's all up!" in the background. And then the vocal guy came down from the drum set and he freaked out was like "Wait, what? That's it? Hey everyone should come back! It's the time from now isn't it?" And then a drummer lady came over to him and ""Okay enough, that's it for today! Don't scream out anymore! You too noisy!" and he says "I have nothing done my role for this song! I need to scream for this song! Don't take my part! I only sang the first four-count when we start the song on the drum. That's not my role actually. Also, this fuckin silly sunglass is absolutely not my personality to wear!" and he took his glass off, and then the lady said " Ahhhhhhhh! Hey, I kinda familiar with your raccoon-like face." she looked at his face without a glass seriously.....and she said "What a heck, that's your mom's face! Lol (And his mom's picture popped up as you can see)" and the guy said "Hey you, as I told you, you can say whatever you want about myself, but I do not accept you dissing about my mom!!" he pissed off on her but she just left from him with grinning on her face. After that, a guy walked around the studio to went behind the warner logo and popped up his face between the space, "Come oooonnnnnn let's do this guys! I need to do scream for this!" LMAO Hope you guys watch again the last part with this translation! haha

The bit at the end is basically him complaining the song isn't heavy and her making fun of him saying he would just hurt his neck again, he herniated his disc performing which is somehow both the most and least metal thing I have heard. The noise she made was making fun of him screaming in pain

You should try Wagakki Band - Senbonzakura, they make rock/metal songs with original Japanese instruments, and the singer has very distinct voice :D

This isn't my favorite song from them, honestly. I don't dislike it. It's certainly catchy as hell and will likely be stuck in my head for the rest of the night. And I get what it's about. It just doesn't really do it for me. I wouldn't skip it if it came on, but if I want to listen to MtH, this isn't a song I would choose to start with. Not that it matters as last I checked, it wasn't on spotify yet. I really hope y'all do Shimi, Bikini Sports Ponchin, or Hocho Hasami Cutter Knife Dosu Kiri at some point.
