Those ants are called leafcutter ants and there are different types of leafcutter ants found throughout the tropical region. The leafcutter ants use the leaf that they harvest and take it back to the nest for food, the bigger leafcutter ants are called the solider ants that defend the colony and the smaller ants are called worker ants. The leaf is use to form a fungus that feed the larvae and the adult ants feed on the sap of the leaf.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It's nice to see you all hunting together. But at the same time be careful. Micky look so tired, but the experience is good for him. Looking forward for another video from the Guyana interior. Take care.

May I asked you please to explain what is a Powese, Laba, watercow. Perhaps, you can show the actual picture of said animals. I do like seeing the country side of Guyana. These are the ones I enjoyed the most. Thank you for sharing your hunting/fishing trips.

Leaf-cutting ants and is named for its habit of cutting and carrying leaves back to its underground nest. The ants do not eat the leaves. Instead, the leaf fragments are used as compost to grow fungus gardens that feed the ants.

Ohmy,my Dad once drank a cup of pepper sauce for a bet. He was an alcoholic.I think he must have fallen on his head as a child. Jkjkjk. Lolll. I once bit into a wiri wiri pepper as an adult. It was in my cousins delicious cook-up rice. I ran for the sugar. Oy. My cousin thought it was funny. Lollll. 😅
My uncles used to hunt with 12 and 16 gauge single, pump and semi automatic shotguns in Guyana. Rifles or handguns were never used. #6, #4, and double ought shot were all used and highly prized.
