I am trying to find out how to control the gradient mesh tool. I find tutorials that always have a step I can't find. One says you can open a control that lets you set where the light source is from. All I find is edge, center and something else. Could you do a shape with the gradient mesh tool and show different ways to work with it in the shape? I love the key stroke use in the tutorial too. I just need to convert it to PC at times.
What saving settings do i have to apply so it saves the same as the work sheet. Because when i save it and transform it into a PDF it loses that smooth texture. I would appreciate a lot your help

Appreciate the effort but this is a terrible tutorial. There is no correlation between the result of the tutorial and the expectation created by the sample mesh map shown.

try：object → expand before you export that
