Like the bit towards the end about the schoolgirls getting educated in subjects like domestic science to prepare them for a useful place for them in life!!
Oh look at the state of wakefield now. The city is surrounded by slums and society is just getting worse and worse. What happened to community watch? The only half decent place now is stanley or wrenthorpe/alverthorpe and even that is turning horrible.
When Wakefield was a great city, wrecked by people in power not working people.

at one time the city held the record for the most borough spend on education before centralisation in 1972. more per pupil than harrow.

I think the residents of Sandal, Walton, Newmillerdam, Kirkhamgate, Heath and a few other places might take issue with that.
