I loved Aquamarine when I was younger, I was 13 when it came out. I wanted her little talking starfish earrings so bad.
Also H2O on Nickelodeon back in the day, it was Australian too which made me want to go visit 😊
I dressed up as a mermaid for Halloween last year and my 3 year old god daughter was so upset when I told her what I was dressing up as. She asked me, “Mimi, what you be for Ha-yo-ween”? I said, “I’m gonna be a mermaid!” She was mad she said, “No you can’t! I go be mermaid!” *gasp* “You can be a wock (aka a rock)” she was so proud of herself for coming up with a great alternative costume for me!
Also my god daughter thinks Esmerelda (from the Hunchback of Notre Dame)” is a mermaid because she saved captain Phoebus from the water

Favorite character was actually a Merman. There was this movie on the Disney Channel years ago about a teen boy who started to develop scales when he went into the water which sucked because he loved swimming and was on the school swim team. Turns out his real mother was a Mermaid who gave him up for a better life. I really enjoyed that movie when I was younger.

I love the mermaid from "PoTC: On Stranger Tides;" the one that fell in love with the missionary. She was a little spitfire, and I loved how much strength she showed in the film.

You really carried out the theme perfectly, the mica outlining the 'cave' is a particularly wonderful touch. I have always been fascinated by the story of the Little Mermaid, both the original and Disney versions.

There is a French sci-fi comics series called Aquablue, based on a sea planet, and the indigenous people are my favourite waterlings. Also this comics series taught me how to draw hands and I am forever grateful. Did I mention I adore the soap?

I LOVE THIS SOAP! It brings back some good memories of my childhood, and that is amazing because I do not have that many good memories of that time. I was poor growing up and my mom couldn't afford VHS or going to the movie theater. The Little Mermaid was the first Disney Princess Movie I watched, because my 5th grade teacher Mr. Pesolano brought the VHS in and played it for us. He fell in love with the movie and knew the area he taught in had a lot of poor children and he wanted us to experience something he enjoyed watching. I loved that Teacher, most kids couldn't pronounce his name so he had us call him Mr. P. Whenever we walked into the classroom he would say "lights, camera, action" to remind us to turn the lights on. Every Friday he would bring Doughnuts for the class. He is one of the two favorite teachers I had growing up.

I'd love to see you make a decorative soap that doesn’t use artificial fragrances. My mom has Lupus, and artificial fragrances cause her vocal chords to paralyze and makes it hard to breath. I really want to buy another one of your decorative soaps without having to immediately throw it out.

My first exposure to the wonderful world of mermaid lore came when I was little and I saw the foreign animated cartoon of the little mermaid based off the story written by Hans Christian Andersen. One of my favorite books from when I was a kid was a book of Mermaid Tales from Around the World by Mary Pope Osborne. I have a really vivid memory (even without picking up the book) of the illustration for Melusine, and how her scales shown in the sunlight. I loved mermaids as a kid - I even kept my hair waist-length until about 6th grade because of it. I loved swimming, and I wanted to be a mermaid SO badly.

The mermaids in Peter Pan are my personal favorite for fictional characters. Though when I used to teach swim lessons at my local pool I would always get the younger groups and I would call them little mermaids. The kiddos loved it at the time and always had a blast playing "What time is it Mr. Shark." Same rules as Mr. Fox but they were in the water and had to swim away as fast as they could. They would have to take the prize for my favorite mermaids!!
