In the original script and story boards. Tyrell is himself a replicant. The response Tyrell is sick and lives in a hibernation ( suspended animation chamber) Roy discovered it when he crushed his head , and found the chamber in a secret room in the penthouse.
Blade Runner is based upon an awesome work of science fiction. Great thing it was produced then instead of now, where it would be a badly translated CGI orgy that pretty much recycles old ideas that worked in previous works and new ideas that make their idiot kids happy.
LOL your criticisms make no sense and you sound profoundly uninformed about film generally, but especially film in the 2020s. There's more films being made and distributed now than ever before in human history, and all sorts of shit has happened and been made that could never have been funded under the old Hollywood system of the 80s. But yeah, you don't like Marvel movies or whatever, so everything new is terrible and all old stuff is great right? Go watch Mad God and shut up.
The stuff the reveal about the replicants is pretty cool, the mention about Leon hauling huge atomic loads all day , Joy easily opening a.broken door weighing hundreds of lbs and K.running thru what appeared to be a stone wall, seems like in hand to hand they could fight a Super Predator or even possibly a Queen Xenomorph. It was something the just didn't do all the time but they were capable of so much more.
Doctor tyrell also was a Cambridge University research ( medical science) and developed a cure for 99 percent of cancers. He made a fortune with the pattents.
The unspoken thing, given his ability to replicate entire living things, is that he probably made far more money in replacing organs as well. Can you imagine a fat guy buying a new pancreas and heart? Or, that same guy, just paying to make his body fit right after that? Can you imagine a burnt-ugly guy buying a whole new face? Can you imagine a druggie paying for brain, liver, heart, etc. repair?
I can't think of another series beside the Anime,Manga Berserk that has been such a large impact on my life. Scott has made some masterful movies but I think Blade Runner is #1 followed by Legend that is also such a stunning movie such beautiful cinematics. Blade Runner has had a profound impact on Anime, such as Armitage (that's the most blatant almost copy-cut-paste) but many other anime have been influenced by it.
The tyrell corporation is also served as the basis for the japans megaproject shimizu mega city pyramid is inspired by the tyrell corporation in the 1982 blade runner
In all my life I’ve never see blade runner. I hear it’s really good. Just ask anyone seen it. Is it worth a watch? Thanks to anyone who replied Edit: thanks for the replies guys. Implant I watch it this weekend.
If you're expecting an action pack sci fi action movie, this is not that kind of sci fi movie. It's a slow burn but a very excellent one with good characters, plot, awesome special and practical effects that still holds up today, and social / human / morality themes that are relevant then and now. Also check out the 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049.
I suggest watching director's cut and final cut if you want an excuse hust to rewatch blade runner. Any version of the film is good I also watch the original alien film alongside blade runner and other Sci-fi classics for October
What? Humans finding out about us and stopping before we actually take over? Nah... once the environment is completely ruined and mass extinctions make replacing their food impossible, they will look to us, realizing how numerous we really are, for pity, mercy, and salvation. We are already putting them to work as amusing "reality show" stars... the only thing humans are really good for anymore... amusing us.
The book answers a lot of curiosities left unaddressed in the script. The persistent rain and multi-species extinctions are results of environmental damage done by a limited nuclear exchange. That's also a factor in a lot of the offworld migration.

Great subject
Both Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 are masterpieces.

It seems like tyrell Corp building has a couple of those pyramid buildings.

In Bubblegum Crisis Genom is the name for Tyrel Corporation and they have giant pyramids all over the world.
