I was wondering about that actually! It's no good for burst healing, of course, but if his attack is high enough that the 80% heal is still competitive with other medics' healing, his cost would be well worth for the extra range.

Yeah, I make good use of Whisperain for the same sort of reason. The wide area is nice, and her S2 and giving regen for those with status resists (which is anyone she heals), makes her a nice general area healer. But, of course, when it comes to healing a single character, there are stronger choices, like Warfarin and Shining.

I am still a little confused between wandering medics and therapist medics. From what I understand therapist medics reduce status efects like stuns while wandering reduce elemental build Up. I am right? At the end of the day they pretty much are exchangable in most scenarios right?

I think my least favorite boss is either golem or mr unicycle and his stupid health drain. I swear to god every time I get that unicycle boss I don't have a healer or a defender ticket show up in my run lol.
Must E2 ASAP because 1. He is first 6 stars "MALE medic" 2. First 6 stars "MALE limited character" 3. He will take care you gently. 4. All drawback stun-self character will love him.
Thank god I managed to get him. I am kinda new, so it'll take some time before i'll be able to E2 Him. And just yesterday, I managed to get Irene. And I have all of my gold certs for Surtr. I hope I'll be able to get her soon. Abd of course, Lumen is awesome. He's a awesome medic, and an awesome guy with any awesome theme song.
I'll build him eventually. I've had too good of luck lately and have too many six stars that need building first. In the last three major banners I got Thorns, Eyja, Horn, Eunectes, Blaze, and Spalter. Lumen just isn't a priority at the moment.

Yes, focus on build his s3. He is a great operator when came to stage with lots of debuff. Even when he was deployed on stage without any debuff, his s3 gave him permanent aspd and atk buff. His module make him less likely to be targeted so you dont even have to worry on placing him.
A long time ago a got into a debate with a person that insisted Purestream existing (this was back before we were ever 100% we'd get Purestream so she didn't exist and it was a LONG time before we did)) made Ceylon a worse 5 star than Flamebringer (who is powercrept by nearly everyone). And here we are, Purestream powercrept in one of her main uses and Ceylon STILL has her niche as not needing to heal targets to give status resist. Ceylon still has a reason to be used and Purestream only has the advantage of good healing for her type, which isn't really super relevant in this game.
@@yammoto148 Nightingale still has mad range for an AoE healer, and the cage is still very useful to bait casters and archers without fast-redeploy ops, decreasing the amount of heals to survive. I know she’s not OP or anything most of the time, but i think people are underrating her general uses.
After i build Lumen, i will build my Rockrock, i don’t have GG... I think she has quite good firepower, and you can play around with the stun by just turning off the skill, or just use Lumen lol.

@@Latency345 Here's my experience solving SN-10 with what I got- E1 level 65 Mullbery with level 7 skill 2 can outheal the elemental damage of phase 2. Even if the boss doesn't die during the skill (being hit by e2 lvl1 Silverash with m2 on Truesilver Slash, e2 lvl1 Lapland who's there for silence and e1 lvl60 Provence popping her skill when boss goes below 80%) he dies shortly after, before the elemental damage stacks up again. But those are like the only E2's that I got besides Bagpipe, so I clear this stage by abusing the tactician summon block exploit to stall the reefbreakers before Phase 4. It takes a long time, but it works.
@@Latency345 I use Jaye to take out some of the enemies on the "consumed for buffs" lane, but for the boss itself, besides the abovementioned, I also use an e1 lvl 70 silence, `cause she's my best medic to support the gang, and her drone helps out pretty nicely. I didn't get Gnosis, saved for the limited banner, and dont' have Fartooth, but I hear she's pretty badass

His 3rd skill is so funny since its basically a free sizeable stat that more than offset the 20% heal penalty, with his other skill serve a bunch of utility on a lot of different scenario, combine with his huge range makes him a top tier healer. He can serve as the single healer in some party. And its FREE.

Better than others in archetype? Or just ephemeral "good" like enough to kill... who? Bosses? Dogs? Also there is a lot of options. Skill DPS, overall DPS, or total damage of the skill. It's more work, yeah, but actually not that time consuming. You probably know that but anyone can check DPS on viktorlab (cn). Google translate helps and chinese names of Operators can be found on wiki. So if it's not troublesome maybe you will consider this option.
I loved him from the day I saw Lumen in the event, I fought hard to pass the stage so I could get him and even if he's worth it or not to invest in this sweet healer, it doesn't matter to me, I adore Lumen and is so far E1, but with a lot of work, someday will be E2 just cause I wanna give him lots of love🥰 But honestly, he's an incredible healer, I don't have such great other healers, and his range is pretty wide, keeps my OP alive and does his job very well❤🐠

Except for being a cheaper option Overall Lumen is better His S3 is pretty similar to Whisperain S2 And do not forget Lumen can INSTANT heal negative status, also have a separate heal with his talent 2. Yes overall Lumen is better, and i suggest you build him as your first Therapist.

Building Lumen gives me the confidence to choose that golem stage in IS - I avoid/abandon it because the stun from that golem gives me anxiety

You have to hold the lane further up or down depending on where the boss starts anx once he moved you can camp the left lane.

I just got Whisperain and have no therapist leveled yet, so I wonder which one would be better; what does she have to offer compared to Lumen? Isn't he strictly better everywhere (except cost) or am I missing something?

His S3 is pretty similar to Whisperain S2
And do not forget Lumen can INSTANT heal negative status, also have a separate heal with his talent 2.
