  • How do I improve my recitation of the Quran?
    .
Most Muslims will know how to recite the Qur’an fluently from when they attended the madrasah as children. But what if you’re new to Islam? How do you improve their recitation?
Here are a few simple steps to help you recite the Qur’an better:
    Step 1 - Find a quiet place
Try and find a quiet, clean place in your home where you can focus your attention and hear yourself reciting. It will be difficult to concentrate if you’re sitting in a loud, busy environment. Avoid TV rooms or busy communal areas and switch off your phone so that you don’t get distracted.
Step 2 - Learn How to Pronounce the Arabic Letters
    “…and recite the Qur’an with measured recitation” Qur’an 73:4
The above verse implies reading the Quran with ‘measured recitation’ and care. So learning the correct Arabic elocution is very important. In other words, how to correctly pronounce and recite each word.
This is sometimes referred to as ‘Tajweed’ in Arabic, meaning ‘to make well, to improve or to make good’. Tajweed is the rules of recitation and teaches you how to pronounce the Quranic words in the same way that it was recited by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Through tajweed, you will learn that each Arabic letter is pronounced from a certain part of the mouth, which will allow you to create a clear and consistent sound.
It can seem overwhelming to learn the many rules of Tajweed so it’s important not to overload yourself. Take it one rule at a time.
Step 3 - Get a Quran that is easy to read
Get yourself a Quran that is easy to read. Qur’ans come in many different sizes. Obtain one that has the right font size for you to easily read.
You may prefer to get a Tajweed Quran, which have letters and words colour-coded so you can identify some of the rules.
Step 4 - Make a regular time and be consistent
Try and be consistent in your learning. Dedicate regular times in your day or week to read the Qur’an and make it a habit. As they say, excellence is not an act but a habit.
There will be times when you’re busy and you may miss a session but try and make it up and don’t do it too often. Be consistent, even if it is small.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon Him) said:
“The most beloved of deeds to Allah are the most consistent of them, even if they are few” Al-Bukhari & Muslim
If you don’t put the effort in, you’ll always struggle to recite the Qur’an perfectly. So use every opportunity to read the Quran, even if it’s just a little at a time.
Step 5 - Listen to video or audio recordings
There are many Islamic and you-tube channels which have recordings of famous Qur’anic recitors (known as Qari’s).
Pick someone with a slow recitation that you can easily follow and you enjoy listening to.
Listen to those with a distinct and a melodious tone, such as Mishary bin Rashid Al-Afasy, Saad El Ghamidi and Abdul Rahman Al Sudais. Their voices are distinct due to their Tajweed and the melody in which they recite the Qur’an.
Listen to their recording and follow along as you recite the Quran. It may initially be a struggle but you will get quicker. Try and pick up rules from their recitation.
Alternatively, find a Quran recitation app in which you can learn one sentence/ayat at a time. Replay the recitation of the ayat until you’ve mastered it.
Step 6 - Learn short chapters
    Start with short chapters.
Many of the short chapters are at the end of the Quran, like Chapter 112 (Al-Ikhlass). Pay attention to the rules and recite gently.
    Step 7 - Get a teacher
Find a teacher or an imam who is willing to teach you. Learn a specific rule and then practice using that rule.
If you don’t have a teacher than use the internet to find lessons online or a obtain good tajweed book to learn some of the basics.
Step 8 - Don’t worry if your progress is taking longer than you hoped
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward.”
Don’t worry if you aren’t progressing as quickly as you’d hoped. If you try your best and still genuinely struggle with your recitation, you’ll receive double the reward.
Step 9 - Learn the meaning
Try to learn some of the more common Arabic words that are used in the Qur’an. This will also help with memorization.
Furthermore, read a translation to understand what Allah is saying to you
Learning how to recite and perfect the sounds of some letters and words can take a little time. Don’t give up. Be patient and just keep going, even if it’s just a little at a time.
We hope you found this article useful. Whatever you decide to do, make a firm intention to learn, ask Allah for help and start your journey!
We pray Allah makes things easy for you.
    Thanks For Listening 👂 ♥️

*15 Astonishing facts About Islam That you Really don't know !*
*1)* *“Islam” means “surrender” or “submission”* . “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”.
*2)* *“Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”.* By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will. In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them.
*3)* *Islam is not a new religion or cult.* It is a universal way of life and civilization. *Again, Islam is not a new religion,* rather it is the same message preached by all earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all). But God’s final message to mankind was revealed to the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a revival of lost teachings of previous prophets and as a reconfirmation of the eternal message. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.
*4)* *There are five pillars of practice in Islam.* These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
*5)* *There are six articles of faith in Islam.* These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.
*6)* *Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah”* which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. Yet Jesus spoke a different language, referring to God as “Eloi” in Mark 15:34 of the New Testament. Are “God” and “Eloi” different gods? Many Hispanics call God “Dios” and many French say “Dieu”. It would logically follow then that people who refer to God as “Allah” in the Arabic language are referring to the very same God. In fact, many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God “Allah”. And the word “Allah” is written in Arabic script on the walls of many Arab churches and on the pages of Arabic Bibles. So while the understanding of God may differ between faith groups, the various names used to describe Him does not change the fact that the one Creator of the Universe is the God of all people.
This is *Allah* Almighty, The Creator, the one and only true God. He is my God, our God:
*"Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."*
      (Quran 2:255)
*{Say, “He is Allah, the One. Allah, to Whom the creatures turn for their needs. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him.” }*
      (Quran, 112:1-4)
Allah Almighty says in the Quran:
*"Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."*
      [Quran 39:53]
*7)* *The Islamic concept of God* is that He is loving, merciful and compassionate. Islam also teaches that He is all-knowing and the perfect judge of affairs, and will punish (or forgive) accordingly. However, Allah once said to Muhammad, “My mercy prevails over my wrath”. So Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protecting one from both complacency and despair.
*8)* *Muslims believe that God has revealed 99 of His names, or attributes, in the Qur’an.* It is through these names that one can come to know the Creator. A few of these names are the All-Merciful, the All-Knower, the Protector, the Provider, the Near, the First, the Last, the Hidden and the Source of All Peace.
*9)* *The Christian concept of “vicarious atonement” (the idea that Jesus died for the sins of humanity) is alien to the Islamic concept of personal responsibility.* Islam teaches that on the Day of Judgment every person will be resurrected and will be accountable to God for their every word and deed. Consequently, a practicing Muslim is always striving to be righteous while hoping and praying for God’s acceptance and grace.
*10)* *Muslims believe in all of the true prophets* that preceded Muhammad, from Adam to Jesus. Muslims believe they brought the same message of voluntarily surrendering to God’s will (islam, in a generic sense) to different peoples at different times. Muslims also believe they were “muslims” (again, in a generic sense) since they followed God’s true guidance and surrendered their will to Him.
*11)* *Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him.* Muslims worship the Unseen, Omniscient Creator, Allah.
*12)* *Muslims accept the original unaltered Torah (as revealed to Moses) and the original unaltered Bible (as revealed to Jesus)* since they were revealed by God. But none of these scriptures exist today in their original form or in their entirety. Therefore, Muslims follow the subsequent, final and preserved revelation of God, the Qur’an.
*13)* *The Qur’an was not authored by Muhammad.* It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad (through angel Gabriel) and written into physical form by his companions.
*14)* *The original Arabic text of the Qur’an contains no flaws or contradictions* and has not been altered since its revelation.
*15)* *Actual 7th century Qur’ans, complete and intact,* are on display in museums in Turkey and other places around the world.

      🔹️ *Islam and Racism*
Islam with its universal concept of brotherhood rejects all artificial and man-made marks of distinction.
Allah Almighty says in the noble Quran:
"O mankind, indeed We (Allah) have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."
      *(Quran 49:13)*
No one can claim any superiority over the other based on race, color, language or wealth and this is emphasized in the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) showing high regard of humanity irrespective of color or race:
"“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor does a black have any superiority over a white except by piety and good action.”
🔹️ *How to convert (revert) to Islam*
Basically to become a Muslim is very simple.. you need to say the decleration of faith oraly while you believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith.
*The decleration of Faith in Islam (The Shahada)*
The Shahada (in Arabic) can be declared as follows :
      *“ASH-HADU ANLA ELAHA ILLA-ALLAH WA ASH-HADU ANNA MOHAMMADAN RASUL-ALLAH”*
      The English translation is :
*“I bear witness that there is no deity (none truly to be worshipped) but, Allah, and I bear witness that Mohammad is the messenger of Allah.”*
However, it would not be sufficient for anyone to only utter this testimony oraly either in private or in public; but rather, he should believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith. If one is truly sincere and complies with the teachings of Islam in all his life, he will find himself a new born person.

If you believe that the Bible is the word of God 👇
*The Biblical prophecies* on the advent of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are evidence of the truth of Islam for people who believe in the Bible.
In *Deuteronomy 18,* Moses stated that God told him: *“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.”* (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).
From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:
      1) That he will be like Moses.
      2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.
      3) That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him.
Let us examine these three characteristics in more depth:
      *1) A prophet like Moses:*
There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him). Both were given a comprehensive law and code of life. Both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways. Both were accepted as prophets and statesmen. Both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses and Jesus overlook not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well. These include the natural birth, the family life, and death of Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him) but not of Jesus. Moreover Jesus was regarded by his followers as the Son of God and not exclusively as a prophet of God, as Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him) were and as Muslims Jesus was. So, this prophecy refers to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and not to Jesus, because Muhammad (peace be upon him) is more like Moses than Jesus.
Also, one notices from the Gospel of John that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of three distinct prophecies. The first was the coming of Christ. The second was the coming of Elijah. The third was the coming of the Prophet. This is obvious from the three questions that were posed to John the Baptist: *“Now this was John’s testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”* (John 1:19-21).
If we look in a Bible with cross-references, we will find in the marginal notes where the words *“the Prophet”* occur in *John 1:21* , that these words refer to the prophecy of *Deuteronomy* *18:15* and *18:18**.* We conclude from this that Jesus Christ is not the prophet mentioned in *Deuteronomy 18:18.*
*2) From the brothers of the Israelites:*
Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac *(Genesis 21).* Ishmael became the grandfather of the Arab nation, and Isaac became the grandfather of the Jewish nation. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad (peace be upon him) a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet.
Also, *Isaiah 42:1-13* speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. *“He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.”* (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to *Genesis 25:13,* Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
*3) God will put His words in the mouth of this prophet:*
The words of God (the Holy Quran) were truly put into Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) mouth. God sent the Angel Gabriel to teach Muhammad (peace be upon him) the exact words of God (the Holy Quran) and asked him to dictate them to the people as he heard them. The words are therefore not his own. They did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the Angel Gabriel. During the life time of Muhammad (peace be upon him) , and under his supervision, these words were then memorized and written by his companions.
Also, this prophecy in *Deuteronomy* mentioned that this prophet will speak the words of God in the name of God. If we looked to the Holy Quran, we will find that all its chapters, except Chapter 9, are preceded or begin with the phrase, “In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”
Another indication (other than the prophecy in *Deuteronomy* ) is that *Isaiah* ties the messenger connected with Kedar with a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sung to the Lord *(Isaiah 42:10-11).* This is mentioned more clearly in the prophecy of *Isaiah: “and another tongue, will he speak to this people” (Isaiah 28:11 KJV).* Another related point, is that the Quran was revealed in sections over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with *Isaiah 28* which speaks of the same thing, *“For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there.” (Isaiah 28:10).*
Note that God has said in the prophecy of *Deuteronomy 18, “If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy, **18:19**).* This means that whoever believes in the Bible must believe in what this prophet says, and this prophet is the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
      ■ *Jesus* said to the Jews that *the Kingdom of God* (the prophethood , being the chosen people) would be taken from them and be given to another blessed nation:
"Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit."
      (Matthew 21:43)
God Almighty removed His Kingdom from them and gave it to other than the "blessed" Arab-Muslims who came from the "blessed" Ishmael.
      (Genesis 17:20):
"And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation."

      www.islamicity.org/11380/when-an-illiterate-man-was-asked-to-read/
*Comment:* Yes the Bible has been altered by men for the last 2000 years but despite that, some truth still there. For example, you can not find in the Bible one single unequivocal verse said by jesus himself where he claimed to be God or God the Son. On the contrary, Jesus kept saying that he's just a man, a prophet and a servant of God.
Likewise, the bible still contains remains of the prophecies on the advent of the awaited (promised) Prophet despite that his name was removed from the Bible but his descriptions remain.

I would suggest to get a Quran with translation. You can go to any Mosques and request one or buy online...when your heart is touched by quran, know that a window to peace is being open to you and all you need to do is walk thru it. Seek advice and ask for help.
