As a first timer eating that kind of street food you might either you like it or not but when you eat many times already no retreat and regrets at all. Enjoy staying in the Philippines and more beautiful places offer you. And explore as wel
What you just ate was not really a balut. It’s called “Penoy” and it’s really just a hard boiled egg. Balut has a baby duck inside. I’m a Filipino and I would never ever eat a balut.
Hey Eric and Sarah! Me and my husband are from Ontario, Canada. We love your videos! We are going to the Philippines on Nov this year . We will be spending three months in Davao City, General Santos City, Saranggani and South Cotabato. Its where I grew up before moving here to Canada so i pretty know the place. If you want to join us for a tour there, you guys are welcome :)
Kumusta is really the Filipino version of Spanish-Como esta? Kumusta ka-how are you. Adding po at the end is adding respect to the person. Kumusta ka po?
Thanks for showing us how the food on Ugbo Street in Manila is so delicious and exotic than what we are used to in the West. I cannot get over how friendly the people are in the Philippines either.

about the balut you guys ate its not the classic one but its still balut just grilled haha 😂just incase you see the classic balut you should try that also its the one you see in google with the small chick inside 🤣
i wonder if you guys are reading the comments because i feel like you guys need to do a part 2 or second attempt at this because i think you didn't eat the right foods, but that's completely fine though, glad you enjoyed 😆
Tumbong soup is the pigs large intestines. Its cleaned thoroughly and boiled in aromatics with many water changes before the final broth is seasoned and served.
There are some vloggers says that the halo-halo in that area is the best among the rest of halo-halo they have tasted in the country but you miss that one, if I'm not mistaken the name of stall is aling lusing🤔
Quite sure I would not try some of the food you ate. I always worry about getting sick as I am a solo traveler. I do try local food when I travel but I like to stay away from the meat items. Really enjoying this series.
You can replicate Adidas by taking some toenail clippings and marinading them in KFC gravy overnight. A chicken foot is pretty much skin, cartilage, bone and claw. Toenail clippings will have a similar appeal, if not an identical taste. Your list should include deep-fried chicken head, fried pig blood and day-old chicks to fill out your Filipino food journey. I'm traveling there on Thursday and will be in Ugbo Street myself on the weekend
so glad I found your videos, I'm going there in April and was wondering how much time, if any, I should spend in Manila, but it looks like a lot of fun, at least for a few days. did any of the street food give you the runs? :-)
Amazing!! You will love it. Definitely stay at Acqua (where we stayed) for a good experience. Safe to walk around and right across the river from the mall. No problems with the street food! Nice to spend a few days here and then go check out the rest of the country.
Don’t feel bad about not trying balut. I was born in Manila, not too far from there but I’ve never tried balut! 😂 Im here in L.A. and they have balut here, still not trying it! Been here over 40 yrs now! Planning to go back there and still wont try balut! 😂
When I was in Cebu back in Dec 2023 I was afraid to eat the street food. The raw food sits out not refrigerated for hours in the heat. When they cook it are they cooking it long enough to kill any bacteria's on it. Then it sits out for hours being exposed in the humid air. If it's being cooked in front of you it might be ok except for how long it sat out raw in the air.

Yeah, don't visit our 'polluted' beaches with crystal clear waters! We don't really need tourists like you who will just fill up spaces and make the country crowded!
A discriminating statements, you know every nation has that "pros and cons" , perfection is out of the game. Please try to visit Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and Makati City, I think you won't regret to see these places. May God bless you!
ur not supposed to eat Balut with a spoon, 1 balut is a bite size but the white (which u can skip eating) part is kindda hard to chew...overall....good job guys...enjoy PH
When someone calls a food "interesting" I'm always concerned 😂 but hope you enjoyed the takoyaki... The sizzling icecream got "incredible" so I assume that was awesome, once you're back home, you should try Gulab Jamun with icecream, it is similar but amazing.... Good one again guys...

Ahhh shoot! We did try order Balut but they must’ve misunderstood us.
Yes...his right..not balut..😂
don't worry isaw is cleaned and washed several times over before being grilled
Even if they are not, its from a chicken farm that only eats chicken feed which is relatively also clean.
that's what she said

No.1 street food in the philippines BALOT ❤

2:02, tank in a mall 😆
Hope to meet you soon
Looks awesome! How are you feeling about the poverty, litter and pollution? I want to visit there but lots of garbage around is a real turnoff.
Try to visit Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and Makati you won't get disappointed if you want comfort...
So, I get it you're not visiting Los Angeles, San Francisco, India, etc...poverty is not really a a fault and garbage control is being remedied.
cleaner than americas populated city
Yeah, don't visit our 'polluted' beaches with crystal clear waters! We don't really need tourists like you who will just fill up spaces and make the country crowded!
A discriminating statements, you know every nation has that "pros and cons" , perfection is out of the game. Please try to visit Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and Makati City, I think you won't regret to see these places. May God bless you!
Kumakain din ako ng balot pero tinatapon ko yung sisiw
What you had isn't balot. It's called a penoy which is just a boiled duck egg.
The gang sign 😅
Everyone loves their gang signs down here haha
Enjoy in the Phils.😊
ur not supposed to eat Balut with a spoon, 1 balut is a bite size but the white (which u can skip eating) part is kindda hard to chew...overall....good job guys...enjoy PH
Vlogging in the Philippines is a sure way to gain traffic and followers
West: "stop recording me"
Philippines: "Shout out, hello, mabuhay"
🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha we love it!
Every part of the animal is used in the Phillipines and most South East Asian countries. Nothing is wated. It's definitely an acquired taste.
When someone calls a food "interesting" I'm always concerned 😂 but hope you enjoyed the takoyaki... The sizzling icecream got "incredible" so I assume that was awesome, once you're back home, you should try Gulab Jamun with icecream, it is similar but amazing.... Good one again guys...
kids throwing Gang sign HAHAHAH
Hahaha the kids were hilarious
The real isaw is not chicken untestines but of pork. Its the pig intestines but pig intestines have other preparations like "Bopis"(sauteed pork intestines and opals)or "Dinuguan"(pork blood stew).
Everyone looks so small in the video lol 🤎
Kaibigan subukan nyo vegetable and fruits a healthy foods salad halohalo😂❤
Last akin Ka na Lang by morrisset amon
Isaw is best eaten if it's grilled not fried
May nagmura uh😅
Just a piece of advice try not to wear your backpack that way when you're in a crowded area specially manila, always protect your valuables.
keep an open mind if you are doing food vlog
Cge Kain Lang kayo kaibigan😂
😂😂
You should try the JOLLIBEE
We definitely will!!
You SHOULD EAT THE AUTHENTIC BALUT 🔥🔥not the grilled or flavoured balut.I think the SAUCE OVER POWERED the taste of balut. The authentic 1 is more challenging.😂❤❤❤
Ahhh maybe next time! But this was already hard enough for us 😂
I THINK ITS A PENOY EGG NOT A BALUT👌👍🤩😍🥰❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
you definitely ate penoy and not balut. The isaw as well looks more like what we call "dos tres" or bopis.
Oooops guess we’ll have to try it again sometime :)
2:01 google translate moment😅
I thought that's David Beckham
