Why Doctor Strange Killed Iron Man In Endgame

  • Is the Master of the Mystic Arts and future Sorcerer Supreme really as trustworthy as we all believe him to be? We all know the story of how the former neurosurgeon peeked into the future to see the possible outcomes of the conflict built up over three phases of the film. One out of about 14,000,000 isn’t the best of odds, but could that really be the only hope the heroes had? A new theory states that the Master of the New York Sanctum may have been dishonest with The Starkster about what he truly saw in the future. The good surgeon may have actually been the architect and mastermind behind the entire end of Phase 3. Yes, Thanos needed to be defeated, but it just may be possible that The Starkster could have been spared.
    The Billionaire has a history of causing problems in his quest to save the world. Sokovia. Civil War. There are actually several examples where his quest for good has led to some of the greatest calamities the MCU has ever seen. Could Stephen have seen alternate paths to victory, but with The Starkster around knowing that the victory would have eventually led to defeat? In today’s video, we explore all these questions, and the possible repercussions if the end of one of the greatest heroes in the MCU really was totally unavoidable. Does it make sense for Stephen to have wanted our favourite hero out of the picture for the greater good of the future? Be sure to leave a like, subscribe, and comment if there’s any weight to this new theory turning our magical hero into more of a mystical anti-hero.

      I think Strange let Tony sacrifice himself because if he let him survive Tony would want to build another like Ultron being or something much worst that would mean trouble for the world and the Avengers. Another theory I have is that Kang the Conqueror had something to do with it. He probably knew the out come of Thanos plans and he let Tony take him out while also taking himself too. Kang probably knew Tony was a threat to him and his plan to conquer the world, that’s why he needed him out of the picture.

    If they beat Thanos in Infinity War, they wouldn’t have discovered Time Travel, made King Thor, The Scarlett Witch, Loki (causing Wanda to hear her kids & Kang - leading to Iron Lad forming the Young Avengers), and Valentina forming the Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts.

  • @FranzLorenzDivina
    @FranzLorenzDivina Před 2 lety +15

    Hear me out, guys. I have a theory. What if the reason why Dr. Strange chose this option was because he’s just preventing Tony Stark from turning into a villainous threat in the future? One that can control and manipulate timelines. 🤔
    Remember, they discovered the secret of time travel during the events of Endgame. And, if they managed to permanently defeat Thanos and his army without sacrificing Tony, what do you think Tony would do with the time machine they invented? I think he would eventually publicize their discovery of time travel and make it accessible to everyone. Which means, he could also use it to correct the errors and mistakes in the life, that includes the death of his parents. And, the only way Tony could prevent their deaths is to go back in time and kill Bucky Barnes before Bucky has the chance to do so. His parents might’ve lived for a few more decades because of that, but it would definitely put a strain in his future relationship with Captain America if Cap manages to learn the truth. Because eventually, he will. And, that would cause a rift between Tony and Cap and make the Civil War happen way earlier than expected. This could also give an opportunity for any extraterrestrial/multiversal threats like Thanos or Kang to conquer Earth and the whole universe pretty much sooner than anyone could prepare for. 😕
    Or, what if Tony decides to use the time machine to go back deeper to cut off the source of why Bucky became Winter Soldier? What if he decides to go back in 1940s MCU Earth and kill Captain America or destroy the “Super Soldier” program itself? I mean, it’s the main reason why the Soviet Union experimented on Bucky when they captured him, to make him their version of a “super soldier”. If Tony decides to end it like that, who do you think will stop Red Skull or the Nazi Germany from conquering the whole Earth? Unfortunately, Steve Rogers was the only “superhero” that time, and if he dies or the program shuts down, the whole world will fall in Nazi/Hydra’s hands. And, there will be nobody that can stop them. 😐
    As much as a lot of people hated the idea of letting Tony Stark die in Endgame, I think it’s a better option for Dr. Strange to pick than letting a lot people in their world suffer in the long run because of Tony’s selfish nature. 😕

    In this case, letting Tony sacrifice himself may have been the only outcome where the snap was reversed and the universe was restored. He could've tried to save Tony, but he could've have set motions in place where something bad happens after Tony was saved where the universe couldn't be saved.
    This is only my theory. Maybe there could've been a way to save Tony, but since Strange did let it happen according to his vision, I think it might have been the only way.

    Doctor Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme and works to save the very nature of our reality itself on a level no mortal can truly comprehend on a daily basis. He makes impossible decisions regularly and sacrifices more than almost any other hero constantly. Most of the time his life is a tormented Hell. He can be seen as cold, uncaring, and heartless but his actions literally hold together the fabric of our entire existence on multiple levels. If he decided that Tony Stark had to be lost in order for life to move forward he had his reasons. He viewed over sixteen million possible scenarios and came to the conclusion that the way things went down in Endgame was the only acceptable conclusion to the events unfolding. Frankly as painful as the loss of losing Tony is, I would trust Doctor Strange's judgement pretty much over anyone else's in any given situation.
    And yes I am aware that his actions in the next Spider-Man film seem highly questionable and rather out of character... Either that is not really Doctor Stephen Strange, or again, he has his reasons.

    The future that strange saw was the only option that leaded to the avengers winning. The Another thing is that if Tony died then the avengers would have taken a longer time period to figure out time travel makeing that five years gap even longer. let's just say that Doctor strange saw more than one future were they win out of 14,000,605, and then still he chose the one were Tony dies so why didn't he just let thanos kill him on Titan then just give up the time stone that was keeping a lot of people off-of earth's door step, that's because Tony had to span his fingers to save the universe. dr strange does only protect earth he protect's the entire time line. And if Tony lived (which we all would have loved) then he would have retired from being iron Man so he would stop creating new suites and live out he's remaining days not in a metel suite and causeing problems to the world. Also vision he also had to die to set in motion a whole new saga.

    In our current timeline, there are no stones. It was obviously seen by Dr. Strange that after he gives the stones to Thanos he will use them and destroy them eventually. And as we know through the Ancient one's theory, without a single stone reality can branch into a chaos. On top of all that Strange just did something (not good I suppose) with the reality. I think not only is it because of Loki bc he caused a nexus event by escaping in the past from his own timeline. But also more bc of no more infinity stones and bc of Dr. Strange's spell that the Multiverse is collapsing into chaos.

    Love iron man love Dr. Strange (which whom is my favorite hero hands down. ) we know that strange seen billions of possibilities and we’re sure in one of those alternate time lines strange stopped him but in doing so Thanos still succeeds. We know the only timeline that succeeds is Tony completing the snap. Its not only logical it’s explained over and over.
    Also Doctor Strange trained in the ancient arts and the Strange of Earth 616 is also fully aware of mistakes made in the past that can change who you are in the future. He would have seen himself in Tony (in a way) and would have seen beyond the past mistakes of Tony. It would be completely out of character for him to want to allow Tony to die for his own personal reasons. He let Tony die because he HAD too. End of story. This is a silly theory not based in cannon at all no was it the reason of the directors choice to include strange watching as Tony fulfilled his “fate”
    Strange would have to be out of character , disregard his teachings and so much more for this to be true. It’s a FAR Reach!

    It's my theory that strange had gone use to time travelling with the use of time stone. It was a kind of addiction for the poor chap. And it is only an assumption but I believe he had probably grown used to the company of ancient one and would frequently pay visits to the past for some more 'private sessions'. So in essence what he really was looking for in those outcomes was a way to do time travel without the stone and that one outcome provided just that.
    While he had initially out rightly rejected the notion of handing over the time stone for any reason, after he saw that he could fulfil his addiction even without the stone he gladly handed it over. Tony was just a casualty along the way.

    • @joseph227ish
      @joseph227ish Před 2 lety

      Naah. The Time Stone is strictly about time. As he explains you can experience it but not in ways to effect it. In the movie Dr. Strange he hadn't mastered that ability until the end of the movie. But when he's introduced to the Avengers it's 5 years later. So that's the 1st time we see him go through calculating possibilities.
