- The Center Barbershop located in Santa Fe, New Mexico is the oldest and only traditional barbershop in town. Originally opened in the 1940s by Ramon Vigil and now a third generation community barbershop.
Their focus is to offer a superior service with no rush haircuts and with a laid back sense of community. I was really in need of a haircut and was fortunate to have Gilbert Vigil who has been a barber for over 55 years cut my hair.
Currently Jude Vigil and his sister Velma Herrera own the barbershop, and their dad Gilbert Vigil continued to work a couple days a week cutting the hair of his loyal customers up until he sadly passed away in March 2021💈❤️

I really envy your thick hair. Mine is very thin and I am going bald now. I am 41 almost 42 and seeing it go away is just frustrating. I wish I would have been born with thick hair.
HairCut Harry, I'm gonna be straight up honest with you, man: salons suck. Everytime I went to one almost none of the women knew how to cut and style a classic skin fade, let alone a classic hair style in general for me. This is why I go to barbershops. Also, barbershops offer more comfortable and quality than salons do. Barbershops take there time when cutting and styling men's hair. On the other hand, you are in and out of salons in around ten minutes. Also, barbershops like to add in aftershaves when they are done cutting skin fades.

Gilbert cut the hair of 4 generations of men in my family, from my grandfather all the way down to my son.
Fine haircut. Was a barber. I'm now retired. Started in 1972. Today's barbers are nothing like they used to be. This barber cuts hair like the old time barbers. He's a professional in our trade.

I've been watching and falling asleep to ASMR since 2011 when I was 15, and after 8 years of hundreds of different videos, I can definitely say that this....this is the pinnacle of ASMR.

I have so many memories of this place. I received all my hair cuts as a child here. Including my first. I’m now 33. I don’t live in New Mexico anymore. So this was a real surprise to come across it on CZcams. Looks just like it did back then. 💙
The demeanor of this barber really adds to the relaxation level. Gently combing the hair, and his unherried movements. Reminds me of a company bus driver we had. Everything about the way he drove was smooth. The ten minute ride to the employee lot was the best part of the day. Most of the other drivers threw the bus around like they were possessed.

The one thing I noticed is how quiet everything is. I've been cutting hair for 26 years now and the business has changed a lot. Most people want in and out and without a lot of talking. Very good video.

I started watching your 2020 videos and apparently I'm working my way back in time. It's nice to see a barber who is not shaving the entire back and sides of your head down like they do later in 2020.
Harry, One of the better haircuts I've seen you receive. Those type of barbershops are becoming very rare to find these days. I live in So. CA. and just about every barbershop I walk into has the TV or music blaring so loud I get a headache after only being in their a few minutes. Lucky for me I've found a barbershop that's a little old fashion. Oh, how I miss those old days when...… . Thank you for sharing and looking forward to the next video.

Just got my haircut there last week. Tiedra was my barber. She and the others all do a great job. I’ve never been disappointed with their work. It’s the best place in Santa Fe to get a haircut. Nothing but good things to say.
