    Those in power would never allow such songs to be played on radio. Two things that would help drive change in Nigeria;
    1. When Nigerian/African History is been taught in Primary & Secondary schools to all students.
    2. Fela's song been played on radio.
    These two things would enlighten the younger generation & would drive them to do the needful.

    The true son of mother Africa. My son, Olufela, I thank you as you never misrepresented me, your brothers, and sisters. I gave you the message in your sleep and you delivered the message through a medium that I, mother Africa so cherish and loved. My son, I wish you were alive to see the medium you created; the genie that you pioneered as now become world-recognized. Your grandchildren now use it to pass messages of love, and more to the world. Ose, omo mi. As you rest beneath me; be assured that your brothers shall get it right someday even though the pain I feel each day with the way I'm being treated is unbearable. Many of your brothers and sisters have derailed from the true Africanism and pan-Africanism that your older brothers envisioned. Don't let that disturb your sound sleep. I shall soon give birth to another generation that's likely to bring it to fruition. I hope my daughter your mother is resting well? Tell her, I sent my love, her mother, mother Africa.
    Your Mother,
    Mother Africa

    I am newly-awakened to Fela. Having known of him for many years, I have just now been able to advance beyond Miles' electric period to see that, yes, this was the next step in the evolution. This has to be some of the most exciting, addictive music I've ever heard - I particularly love this song and the film that has been presented with it. Thank you so *very much* for your effort at putting this in front of a large audience - his catalog is initially confusing and dense from my American record-buying experiences and being able to just pick songs, listen, watch . . . wow. I love this music. Fantastic job!!!!

    Fela Kuti i discovered in 1988.I was 18yrs old and a Chef at "Circa" a Restaurant in London's Mayfair.myself and Paul a close friend and fellow Chef would bring in a new Mixtape that we'd spent hours compiling for the shift.back then it really was a tape too.a c-90 Sony metal tapes were the best.on this particular Friday I blew Paul away by playing him a Frankie Knuckles mix from Kiss F.M. N.Y.C. in turn he left me gobsmacked with "Sorrow Tears & Blood" by the Master Fela Ransom Kuti
