It left a sticky, colored residue so I'll be reheating the inside of the shirt where the residue is and use the copy paper to lift off? Very interesting, I will definitely try that tonight, thank you so much. 💓

    I have watched another video before seeing yours and it said to heat the mini press up the maximum temperature and then iron slowly over the top of the vinyl what you want to remove and the vinyl will start to curl. To my surprise it worked. If you cannot always get to the back then this works great.

I have NO idea why I didn't think of holding the shirt on the mini press. I did use it and heated from behind but then immediately tried using my pin pin tool. The HTV did lift the vinyl however it cracked it in a million tiny pieces so using tweezers to lift it off was impossible. I used a scraper and although I was able to scrape 90% off the remaining residue and tiny pieces will not come off and have smudged into the fabric. I tried LOTS of VLR, inside, outside, heat inside & out nothing has removed the bits and residue. Do you have any tips on how to get out smeared sublimation ink from removing Siser Easy Subli?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 2 lety

      Oh no! What type of shirt were you using? Just to clarify, the sublimation ink spread to the shirt during the application?

      @@DesignBundles 100% pollyester, sublimation ink spread when I was using VLR (Heat Transfer Vinyl Remover for Fabrics) to get the Easy Subli off due to a mistake I made during application. Oddly enough, front wouldn't come off AT all, back mostly came off, but some of the ink smeared and left an outline. I may just wear it around the house as a testimate to my mistake. lol

    What temperature did you hear the baby iron up to...

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety

      Hey Paul, I set it on the HTV setting, which is the middle light. The EasyPress Mini doesn't have exact temperature numbers, but it should be around 300-320 degrees. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Does this work on T-shirt’s you buy from the store as well? Just wondering. I was trying to google this earlier this week! Lol

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety +2

      It should, but only if the shirt is made with heat transfer vinyl, and that is unlikely for a store-bought shirt. Most mass produced shirts are screen printed. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    What if you weren't able to heat the backside of the item, can you heat the vinyl directly?

      Hi there! Yes, you can remove the vinyl using these methods but double check that it isn't screen print ink you are trying to remove! - Dawn

    I used the iron method, but I think the adhesive started to burn. Will VLR still remove the adhesive?

      @@DesignBundles It's athletic warmup jacket is black, so it doesn't look like it's stained. The area with the adhesive is glossy.
