I was a freshman in highschool when this series started, now I’m nearly done with college. Crazy to think about, but I’m glad we’ve finally reached the finish! Thank you Nick for the dozens of nights of sleep you’ve given me through these videos, I enjoy each and every one.
Regarding the future thief videos, I think you should do the black parade next, but I’ll probably enjoy whatever you do 😁

Absolutely wild! I too remember your first video of this series coming out and how I knew absolutely nothing about the game. Now I still know almost nothing thanks to me falling asleep 15 minutes in to each video, but Im amazed to see it come to an end.

Back in the day I played Thief 1 and 2 and a lot of the fan missions. Have not been keeping up with this since around 2010, but I have enjoyed your Thief series. Glad to hear fan missions are still being made and Black Parade looks like a series of missions similar to T2X.
I would choose Black Parade.
Congrats on the final episode of Thief 1! It has been so nice watching you progress through the game over the years.
I personally think you should play Thief 2, and then possibly go back to play the Black Parade after. I enjoy the visuals of Thief 1 but it would be nice to see new and improved graphics and gameplay for the beginning of the next series! After that if you return for the black parade it would be a fun callback to the original series.

Edit: I would prefer the black parade playthrough either way over 2 since ive never seen it so far. I hope we could maybe get it bi weekly? I meeeaaaannn that would still leave a whole three videos before a new episode would release, which would mean a lot of time for other projects too so maybe it would be possible, righhhhttt???? (Feeding my delusions, i need bi weekly thief a huge amount)
Also by playing the fan game you would cover something thats still relevant in the thief community so that'd be cool (you know what would make it even cooler? bi weekly thief frfr)
Bi weekly would also mean maybe just half a year for the project if every mission has two parts which would allow for thief two to be started in a timely manner too, isnt thaz cool and basically already convinced you to release new episodes bi weekly, right right right? (You can also just ignore my unrealistic delusions ofc)

Regarding 8:20, I vote for Thief 2 next, by far! I've waited 7.5 yrs for you to get to T2, and having to wait another multiple years doesn't sound attractive :(
Black Parade is great from what I played so far (2 missions), but it is a fan-made after all. Level design and gameplay are awesome, but voice acting bothers me at times, especially the character you play when it comes to briefings, cutscenes, player movement sounds, quips, and the like. And as you know, that is a considerable part of the Thief experience. Everyone loves Stephen Russell for a reason. You don't play as Garrett in Black Parade, but rather a different character. Plus, there might be T2 spoilers in BP (whether it be characters, tools, graphics, locations, gameplay, plot, audio, or mechanics, and so on. If so, I'd much rather any of this be seen in T2 first.)
I'd just prefer more Garrett, true canon, gameplay and missions as Looking Glass Studios intended, more Stephen Russell, to see if you enjoy Thief 2, and to see your reactions to various elements within the game. Been waiting 7+ years already, so having to wait until 2031 to see T2 played seems a little sad, haha!

Hey nick i love your stuff! i wanted to ask, it sounds like you use a diffrent mic/set when ur doing videos that are gaming (or just general things on ur computer like geoguesser or the photo editing) and i really like it! it sounds more close up and i think you should consider using whatever set up you got for these videos to other ones like keyboard reviews or videos where we see your face, i think itd turn out really nice :)
that is just my opinion tho so keep doing what youre doing wish you the best!
