This is the start of a beautiful journal! I love the Stamperia papers. I like that you didn’t cover the whole book, it allowed for the vintage feel of the book to come through.
This is the way I make my junk journals! Tho, I run the elastic front and back, and put in 3 signatures. My favorite! Your journal is stunning! Thanks for sharing! Hugs! Peggy
Hello, Hello, I have absolutely no idea what I’m going to do today,,,,, sounds like I’m right where I belong !!!!! Gotta love it when someone is just so darn ‘real’….. 🥰
Simply brilliant! Gorgeous cover and super fun and functional pages. Tyvek was an excellent addition and hmmmm. I think TH multi matte medium would work to glue the cover as well. Looking forward to seeing the page decorating videos 😊
I love using elastic to complete my journals but had struggled with how to space the holes. Your method was genius! I’ll be trying that next time around!
This video really helps me with making the cover! I have trouble with cover making, and tend to over think things. You've helped me simplify! I know that elastic tends to "die", so I'd use twine or string instead. Thanks so much! ~Janet in Canada
Definitely a great video Tracie!!! Most journals I make are sewn in... but I do occasionally like to do something like this!!! You have definitely explained the process well.... and I am sure that any newbie will be able to easily follow this!!! I look forward to seeing your following video/s on adding pockets etc.
🧚🏻♀️Oh Tracie, I love your video, thank you! Super easy and straightforward way to quickly create a a lovely journal! I’ve been searching for a video like this for ages! I’m subscribed and I’m eagerly awaiting part two!❤
Fabulous Tracey. Great vid as always. Love your work. This is a fab tutorial to use for quick but stunning gifts for both guys and dolls! Thanks so much 💐💕👏
Absolutely love this! I love that each signature is collected in one "scrapbook-paper-folder thingy"! (Official terminology 😜)! This is a gorgeous journal!! Thanks, Tracie!!
I’m pretty new to Journal Making. I’ve made only 4. All of them had the 3 hole pamphlet stitch signatures. I’m making another one for myself. But I feel like I now know just enough about Junk Journals to be dangerous. Lol. I want to do some sewing in it and all kinds of fun ephemera. But I feel stuck not having my signatures sewn in. I actually purchased some elastic and it came a few days ago. Watching you make this cover, I’m pretty sure this is the way to go. Now I just need to jump into making my cover. Can’t wait to see how this goes for you (and for us)! Lol
@@TracieFoxCreative I have a Cropodile and lots of eyelets. I don’t have a book that would work for my cover. So I’m thinking of some packaging or cardboard. Something fun to make it sturdy. I’m excited.
I'm crying 3 mins in, that cover is gorgeous 😅😢😅..... Yes I know we all have different tastes, and it's your journal but still 😭😭😭 (I still liked this video btw)
I think she is crying because you are covering that beautiful Edith Holden cover. In the USA we have to pay so much for a book that we really treasure them.
What size book should I look for.? Want to do a lot of writing in mine. When I fold a letter size paper in half it is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. I assume I would need about 6x 9. Sorry I’m a beginner and watching too many videos. 😂 this cover turned out so pretty, you made it look so simple.
Hello, I guess you answered your own question. Look for a cover that will work with your paper but you might still need to cut it down (the paper). This is about using what you have and making it work rather than buying things to work together. Dont get to worried about measuring :-D. Have fun with it x
You can add mor signatures to these two. You can add another 4 signatures to this journal. I dont have a video but try searching for 3 notebook TN set up. Sure you will find how to add extra using more elastic hun xx
Thank you for sharing your creation! It is fabulous! What size needle do you use on your sewing machine? I can’t imagine my sewing machine getting through those thick covers.
I love how quickly this can be put together!

Yay you go for it! Enjoy! You can also tie the elastic right around the spine not needing the eyelets at all. Have fun xxx

@@joannewachel2505 oh yes oh course, I absolutely understand. Thank you.
Lol, I had a little "Oh dear" moment too! But the finished journal is very pretty.
I like it! Thank you for the inspiration.

Love it but you covered up beautiful Edith 😱🤣
I have a few :-D x
Is there a way to add three signatures with this elastic method? Might do a Craftly Hall journal with this video

Thanks Tracie!
Thank you for sharing your creation! It is fabulous! What size needle do you use on your sewing machine? I can’t imagine my sewing machine getting through those thick covers.
I use a standard needle. It will work fine. I have a video called sewing on paper xx
She didn’t sew through the covers. She sews a border on the paper and then glues it to the covers.
OH I really did not read that correctly! Thank you so much, you are right! xx HUGS
Where can I find the things you put in The holes you did? :-)😮😊
It is called a crop o dile. Search where you are and it will come up hun. They are very popular x
