  • A FAILS video of a Lego 80's town with all 12V Lego trains from the grey era with almost all vintage iconic Legoland sets. The layout consists of three 12V train loops with the following remote controlled equipment:
9 points (set 7858/7859, 7 signals (set 7860), 2 decouplers (set 7862) and one level crossing (set 7866).

Impressive layout, almost like the layouts in the lego catalogue in the 80's when I was a kid. I never got i back then but I had a rather large amount of blue and white tracks that was used a lot. Now it is more or less obsolete with Power Functions and Powered Up.

Increbible layout ! With all those classic 12v trains and city sets, it captures so well the spirit of the Legos from the 80s and that I loved so much as a kid 🥰 An absolute joy to watch !
It's also very impressive how clean your Legos are. Appart from the few sets I owned as a kid, all my vintage sets bought on the aftermarket always have some scratches an discoloration 😟Yours seem to be in pristine condition !

Ha ha ha - great! The first one was really spetacular! :-D Thanks for this blooper reel - after seeing the first video, it seemed like you trains ran particularly perfectly. Alas, it was only an illusion :-D Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work :-)

Hey AlmightyArjen, can you do a video that does a VS between a Lego train with the Lego power-functions, and a Lego train with the 12V/9V, or tell me which is better? I'd love to know the differences between the two and if the 12V/9V Tracks and motors are worth installing in my newer Lego Train. I'm wondering as far as how much weight the trains can pull, and the difference in speed.

I was expecting a few more ‘fails’ with regard to the elevated track section ;) I guess the key is not to be climbing/descending and turning at the same time
