- A FAILS video of a Lego 80's town with all 12V Lego trains from the grey era with almost all vintage iconic Legoland sets. The layout consists of three 12V train loops with the following remote controlled equipment:
9 points (set 7858/7859, 7 signals (set 7860), 2 decouplers (set 7862) and one level crossing (set 7866).

The AlmightyArjen CZcams channel is about Lego train related videos. I sometimes automate Lego trains, or make a stop motion video or I just setup a huge Lego train layout in the living room. Do you have (reasonable) video suggestions? Please let me know! - Komedie
This layout is the Graal of every man's been child in the eighties... fantastic!
Impressive layout, almost like the layouts in the lego catalogue in the 80's when I was a kid. I never got i back then but I had a rather large amount of blue and white tracks that was used a lot. Now it is more or less obsolete with Power Functions and Powered Up.
1:27 The 7740 train is unstoppable.
Ow wauw, this is a really beautiful layout, but I can't begin to imagine the amount of headaches it must have cost... 😱😱😱
I can only imagine the pain of actually watching that happen and having to fix it.
And considering the fact that most of the fails weren't captured by the camera...
Increbible layout ! With all those classic 12v trains and city sets, it captures so well the spirit of the Legos from the 80s and that I loved so much as a kid 🥰 An absolute joy to watch !
It's also very impressive how clean your Legos are. Appart from the few sets I owned as a kid, all my vintage sets bought on the aftermarket always have some scratches an discoloration 😟Yours seem to be in pristine condition !
Thanks! I de-yellowed all white, gray and blue parts with a peroxide solution.
@@almightyarjen Interesting. I will look into tihs solution further. Thanks for the heads up !
Ha ha ha - great! The first one was really spetacular! :-D Thanks for this blooper reel - after seeing the first video, it seemed like you trains ran particularly perfectly. Alas, it was only an illusion :-D Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work :-)
Awesome work, man. Keep up the good job!
This is absolutely fantastic! Love the vintage layout.
That poor post office 😅
Hey AlmightyArjen, can you do a video that does a VS between a Lego train with the Lego power-functions, and a Lego train with the 12V/9V, or tell me which is better? I'd love to know the differences between the two and if the 12V/9V Tracks and motors are worth installing in my newer Lego Train. I'm wondering as far as how much weight the trains can pull, and the difference in speed.
That's a great idea, thanks! I'll start with this once I cleared out the attic!
I like your layout I’m kind of glad you did fail video and also it’s been a while I haven’t watched your video for a long time
Why don't you like this video? You must see that making LEGO town with trains is a hard work!
I'm sorry that you had to fix all of these, but it was hilarious watching them!
They are all great, but I laughed most at 1:26 and 1:52 :)
I was expecting a few more ‘fails’ with regard to the elevated track section ;) I guess the key is not to be climbing/descending and turning at the same time
I love the fails
Cool
@pollocks01 from IG here! Hi! I can’t help but think that some of those crashes were deliberate? 🤣😂
Hi! Nope, none of them were!
Super filmpje!
0:32 smudgers Crash in a nutshell
this is why mine storms were made
Ha, crashes are always fun for US to watch but I can gear you screaming “Nee! Nee!” In the background 😆😬
Also a great video - even thaought not everything worked well :)
...and I see more wires :P
Must be terrible getting into that layout for fixing all again - there isn`t much space to stand or even walk...
You don't want to know how many times I kicked things over...
@@almightyarjen I can imagine! I know by myself how terrible such things can be - and your layout is much more difficult to pass for a human being :D
Haha the trains are vilains!!😱
Wait your making videos again? I must resubscribe now!
I never stopped, just busy with this 80's project ;)
@@almightyarjen well when coppa happened you stopped uploading so I unsubscribed and you just happened to pop up in my recommended
Even Apeldoorn bellen!
tfw you realize that most of Lego Loco's trains and buildings come from the '80s
Funny!!!
Why was There wires inside the coaches?
For lighting
