This song is quite a personal one. It came out pretty naturally, as someone very close to me was going through a difficult time and I was struggling to know how best to help. This song is my way of telling her that I’m always here. It feels like a lot of people are going through something similar or suffering themselves and don’t have an outlet to express it. It’s a difficult conversation but really important to let those around you know that you care for them and will always stand by them.

I'm going through a tough time right now. I sat down at my desk this morning and just put on something on spotify and your song came on shuffle. I started crying once I heard "give you reason to get out of bed". It was like a very unexpected punch in the gut - in the good way. In the "I've held in the tears for days and now I finally get to let go" way. This song feels like crying in the arms of a loved one and guess what, I really, really needed that today.
