I have two Aspidistra plants, one from each of my Grandma's. They were both well established when I was a little girl so both are at least 80 years old. They are both in their original Victorian style pots. One is doing fine. The other looks a bit poorly so I have taken note of the excellent information and will now proceed to repot him(or her). Keeping my fingers crossed.
I have a couple of these. One is a rescue and the other is what I bought new. I wonder what happened to you yours. I noticed the soil was a bit powdery when removed from the pot and probably a bit of the dry side. It looked like the leaves were a little sunburnt too?
I think it had been neglected for years and years, the soil was very compacted indeed. Happy to say it’s putting out new growth now the weather’s warmed up! 😁
I have rescued one today and it seems to be in trouble. Your video is perfect for me. I am going to follow your advice. Thank you!
Cast iron plant is supposed to be easy to care for because it can withstand anything.
One of the BEST plant care I have seen in a long time, very informative. Thanks
Thanks so much for your comment, it really means a lot 💚
