I've left a piece of my heart in Peru ,craddle of surfing with the caballitos de totora , but especially surfing in Chicama ...& great time with & at " El Hombre" ..great local people .. I highly recommend !!!

Your footage is gorgeous. What camera and lenses did you use here?

Thank you Justin. I am using a Fujifilm XE-3 and lenses are a 23mm and a 55-200mm.

I went last May. I saw the couple n the VW. Had a great time. Got 2 different big swells. As a goofy foot it is a lot of fun.

Thanks! It seems like the highest and more consistent swells are in the June / July months.

The one thing I took away was the lack of locals bullying people off the waves like you see in California and Hawaii

Definitely. All my surf sessions there were super chilled in terms of localism or bullying. Even when the good swell came in and it got packed, it was still enough waves for everyone.
