  • A tutorial video demonstrating the Performance View Helper, a free online tool for creating custom graphical user interfaces for Kontakt instruments.
    Access the free online utility here:
    clockworkmonkey.com/treehouse...
    Contact Clockwork Monkey to give feedback or request features here:
    clockworkmonkey.cc
    The Kontakt Performance View Helper enables you to quickly layout a GUI for your sample instruments by drag and drop. The tool is available straight from your browser, no application download is required. Once you have created your graphic interface, the utility will create the necessary KSP script and file resources to paste into Kontakt. Far less tedious than assembling a GUI by guesswork and hand!

    Hello and congratulations for your tutorial and the online program to create your own kontakt script. It deserves to be deepened to insert its own knob, slider and other button to be able to resize them and put them at the right size. But this is already great and extremely practical for your subscribers. Hoping to see your next tutorials. Congratulations

    This is a game changer. Even if you don't end up making the instrument for sale, it saves you money and enables you to load sounds from multiple libraries with no limits.

    Brilliant! Just yesterday, I was designing an instrument with lots of buttons and as I was guessing and checking the position of each, I thought to myself, “there’s got to be a better way to do this!” Thanks to you, I have found that better way!

    Thanks!~ I followed this and it worked fine.
    However, there was no explanation for the delay, I was not a programmer, so it was difficult.
    In the end, after putting -1,1,1 in the back, the delay knob worked

    Thank you so much for this inspiring video. I wanted to kindly ask, after you make everything work, how do you enable the option to assign a nob to the reverb. I mean, pressing right click and have it to learn #cc

    • @clockworkmonkey
      @clockworkmonkey  Před 2 lety

      Hi Elad,
      I think this is built-in to Kontakt. If you right-mouse click on a knob a context-menu will appear saying "Learn MIDI CC# Automation". Just click that menu item and then press or adjust the MIDI control that you want to assign to the knob. For example, right-click the "Tone" knob and select "Learn MIDI CC# Automation". Then move the Mod wheel on your keyboard. From then on the mod wheel will control the Tone knob.
      If you want to un-assign the mod wheel from the knob, right-mouse click on the knob and choose "Remove MIDI Automation".

    Thank you for the tutorial. Is there anyway we can add our own buttons through the online software or is it a case of swapping the button images out once rendered and we are inside Kontakt resource folder making sure we have named our own buttons exactly the same as we did in the app ?

    • @clockworkmonkey
      @clockworkmonkey  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Darcy,
      At the moment, you would need to do as you suggested, swap the images in the resource folder. However, I may add the ability to upload different buttons in the future. Thanks for watching!

    thanks for the post. until i'm blue in the face with 100% fail..."click apply and get a red bar across my scripting inside kontakt. means i can get everything done except applying value to any knobs". is there a workaround for this?

  • @thijsschadevanwestrum1697

    Is it compatible with the Maschine+? I would like to use the physical knobs of the Maschien hardware to adjust parameters of my custom kontakt instrument (samples).
