    Well done guys! I’m glad you used a road side chap to build your windows. We chose sofarmy for ours and it’s been absolutely shambles and nightmare!! It’s been over a year and we’ve been going back and forth with them to come and resolve our issues with leaking and nails protruding on the sides. They are absolutely nightmare company! Im glad you chose Nana. We’ve regretted so much choosing sofarmy for ours. Goes to show All that glitters is not gold!!

    Hi, just as the American viewer asked, could I ask you chose double glazed windows in a tropical country where temperatures sour and glazed windows restrict air flow? What's the purpose besides fashion and astetics

    • @kingstal90
      @kingstal90  Před 2 lety +6

      Double Glazing is not only for cold countries!
      It is about "Thermal Insulation". Meaning maintaining the internal conditions of the house constant for as long as possible and minimising energy bills. If you have single glazing - you will spend more on electricity bills because the air conditioning will have to do more work due to the solar gain through the single layer of glass. You will in effect be loosing more of the cold air through the windows with a single glazing. With DG after the AC is on for a while you can turn it off and retain the room conditions for a very long time compared to single glazing for the reasons outlined above.
      In UK its cold, we need double glazing to keep the warm air inside and minimise energy bills with respect to heating. Its about insulation -- whether heating or cooling the principle remains the same. Where we are living now for example, also has double glazing.
