Local?? The badapao factory in my area is lots bigger, clean and organized in my area. Its an assembly and stickering (shop not factory) that also very very cheap like someone packing local made patato chips. All the parts including rubber also imported from outside. Not more than 30 employees. How come its local.
This is actually a good manufacturing practice. It is called stress testing. If the product is to break due to any manufacturing defects like the plastic being brittle, lcd panel having internal stress during shipping, improper threads in screws, improper sealing of speaker diaphragm, loose soldering etc then it should break at the factory itself and not at the customer's home. This is done INTENTIONALLY to ensure the products that get out of the factory are durable and will last for years. There's a lot of testing done at least where I used to work, from physical shocks, operating at voltage fluctuations, EMI, Noisy power line, over load test, heating test... All of this ensures that the customers gets nothing but the best, a well tested product without any signs of wear and tear. Plus there is always the warranty which says "5 years warranty against MANUFACTURING DEFECT". So just in case something broken does reach the customer, they are 100% covered by that warranty, the seller knows and that's why they use that word "manufacturing defect" and immediately cater to your claim.

I am using thomson 40 inch for past 8 months.. It's working great without Any repair.. Even used to play games too... Also I'm not promoting.. I'm saying my own experience

TVs assembled by imported parts from China then label proudly made in india. Even in our local area they purchase parts well assembled with his limited resource. Why evey company mentioned made in india? Actual company labelled as assembled in india is correct one

Once u purchase thomson/kodak tv.. After installation they calling and telling you to please give raing in flipkart and send mail to company then your tv warranty will be increasing (3month extra)... That's why there is a 4.6 rating..

This is my personal experience
The TV I bought has a nonfunctional hotkey. The model is around a year old and they still didn't fix this. I doubt they have any service infrastructure pan India. Its only sales and no after sales!

I have a Thomson 55".
It worked ok for 3 years and 4 months, though it had a laggy playback with some CZcams 4k videos.
Just after the extended warranty got over the panel started showing horizontal lines and flickering.
I had to call customer care multiple times and send mail multiple times to register complaint.
Then they need upfront payment of Rs. 550 for visiting my place. Then I relied on CZcams videos for fixing it myself.
With an exchange of old tv I had spend ~25k to buy this.
So did it get fixed eventually?

Led tvs wont last long even if its samsung or sony, my samsung led tv panel had lines within 3 years unfortunately conpany offers only 2 year warrant new panel costs more than Tv so I threw it away. Then I purchased 55inch Thomson TV, it had panel issues after 1 year, they replaced the TV now its 3 rd year the panel gone again but I had extra protection plan from jeeves so they issued me refund of the price of the TV(after diminishing price of about 5000 Rs), but still its a good deal, now obce again I am going to buy a 65inch one because it serves my purpose but make sure you exchange the before the end of the protection plan youll get a good deal to purchase a new ond with latest technology

I have received a tv without installing software. Even After 2-3 days no one came to install software . I just kept an replacement request on Flipkart. After 10 days they took my tv and gave me a replacement tv at the same time.

I have to return vu premium tv for corner bleeding and blur issues. Cheap panel used which the technician even confirmed. Kodak uses the most proven IPS panel which is more vivid and reliable.

that's very rough handling on the assembly line. Even a mechanic at bike service station handle the metal parts carefully.

I don't understand why people criticising thomson and kodak for this video. If you search for other manufacturers plant they also do it in a same way even tcl in Poland. So ask for the better quality in India every manufacturer from big brand too have same setup and method no one has fully robotic or automated plant. So just chill guys.
These convent educated people comparing what they see on discovery channel automobile production line with this production line. Typical indians always praise for foreign goods. I booked today kodak 43 ultra hd and not going to cancel order. I just found one issue rough handling which needs to be corrected by sardarji.

Maybe they are confident of its sturdiness. You probably don't even want to look what happens during shipping, this is nothing in comparison. There are so many review photo of people receiving broken screen. Shipping handles it way more roughly than this.
That's why this tv are not durable bcoz of their carelessness
@@rujanshrestha6730 I used to work for a similar company(not TV) as an intern. The reason why we were intentionally asked to be rough with the products was for stress testing.
I used to feel so terrible when the boss asked to throw packed products from one man's height. They were testing the durability of the packaging and what all are stress points in the body of the product to improve design. The test that I was assigned to do was literally called BURN TEST. We were putting the product to its limits for periods of time the product was not recommended to use. We were also supposed to induce physical shocks to test for stability of the electrical joints and whether they caused product failure or erroneous functionality. We were supposed to take readings. We were ASKED to be rough, like a careless idiot customer would be.. I am not saying that is what's happening in this video but I can definitely connect the dots. If the product is to break, it should break at the factory itself is usually the intention of such manufacturers. Cuz they are later graded by the main company based on how many products from their center were returned as faulty etc. The main company can end their contract later.
It is more beneficial than irresponsible. The products that do break or show signs of wear and tear are not sent to customers.

Just for assembling , 1 crore Indians got the job.
I can surely say by the sample rate of the moods in the comment section that this video has literally cancelled 100's if not 1000's of orders for the maker I literally pray for the poor marketing guy who took the decision to show this assembly line to millions of customers online by keeping his job as stake I feel for him and the thing is they're not even making them just for the assembling that was way too below par standards even to Indian consumers.

That looks like some shtty manufacturing company. No factory standards. Such a big name with such low standards.
Those TVs are made by Flipkart (obviously by outsourcing to small assembling partners) through brand licensing. Kodak or Thomson is no way involved in manufacturing, assembling or marketing them.

My thomson led display went off in 2 years, on inspection its found that the unit i purchased, (which i replaced due to bleed issue, the company replaced it, ) was a refurbished one. Thomson cheating consumers. Very bad service after warranty.
I thought they wud be having robotic machines for assembling and testing. I don't.think it wud be going through stringent quality control to meet intl standards. Screen is been wiped with a dirty hard piece of cloth.

I tested the TV with a light meter it is not 500 nits it is just 240 nits at 100% backlight and 100% brightness at vivid mode its 550 nits is fake marketing TCL tv with 290 nits are far more brighter

Nope. Flipkart just bought the brand licensing rights of both brands and selling TVs using their name. Same with Nokia and Motorola branded TVs.

I received refurbished product from thomson with scratches, whereas i paid for a new product.. Even there was a dust on the product. Dn't knw how this happened. I got a forceful refund in place of replacement saying that this is a old model u can order latest model.. This is not trustworthy product n service.

The LED panel is Manufactured by Samsung but it's average expected life of display is 1500 hours.
Advise viewers to watch it environment friendly mode.

Led assembled manually caused many weaknes in future. Assemble via machinery are good and safe for long lasting..
