The University sold the Stadium to Canton-Based Team1 Marketing Group in January 2013 who planned to remodel it into a mixed-use sports facility. The company has disappeared as of late 2015 so this place is truly 100% abandoned. Sad to see it in such a shape because I live right near the Rubber Bowl and we attended quite a few Zips games back in the day because it was close enough to our house to walk.

Nice work. My son and I went there a couple months ago. We parked down the road just to be sure we didn't draw as much attention. We cut a square of turf since my son wanted lol. Just before that we had gone to Rolling Acres mall before it was demolished.

This stadium looks really cool. Too bad it become abandoned by University of Akron, for a newer stadium. I guess it just didn't feel up to date, vs. other football stadiums in that same college athletic conference they play in?Any plans to rehab this stadium, for a newer one? Or was it proposed in the past, and feel through? Sad, that some kind of plan can't be thought up to rehab this place.

Thanks :) Yep still skating, just have had to take it easy recently cause I injured my foot somehow right after my 100# weight loss update video. Skated that morning, hit the treadmill, then a few days later I woke up in the morning and couldn't walk. Used a walker for three days then found some stretches online that took away most of the pain, and allowed me to walk again, but the muscle in the heel has taken over a month now, and is still not yet completely healed. I'm ready to get back to learning tricks, but I have to take it easy cause I definitely dont want to re-injur it again before it is healed.

it's unfortunate
ive heard that a few times, but I was always under the impression that was more on the bottom of the heel. This is in the back almost on the side, is that common? I can't figure out how I would have done it, cause I dont recall doing anything traumatic at all lol
I've had the same problem before, all you can do it rest it. Maybe check your footwear and make sure you have the correct support for your feet, it can be very important. Peace :)
p.s. The injury can occur from repeated small knocks or one big one. Nothing serious, just a nuisance.

or another way to say that is... the Vice series Abandoned, (that only came out this year), is eerily similar to the hundreds of skate/explore videos that have been on youtube for years. :)
Ok. A bit off subject. I drive a truck, and have gone to Cuyahoga Falls to deliver. Along the way, I passed what seems to be an abandoned bakery. I think it's called "Schwebel's?" Have you any videos on that? Thanks
