- I went cafe hopping in seoul! I first went cafe hopping in ikseondong which is also known as ikseon dong hanok village :) my cafe hopping vlog (브이로그) has all of the Instagram cafes in seoul where many people like to take pictures. Cafes in Korea are so cute and Seoul cafes are unlike any other cafes I've seen in America. I loved cafe hopping and looking at so many different cafes in Korea. Follow me around as I show you some cafe hopping in Seoul ~
In Korea, all of the navigation apps (I recommend Kakao Map over Naver Map), and Kakao Taxi for calling a Taxi, require you to put the address in Korean. I first put the English pronunciation of the address but that doesn't work in Korea!

I totally agree with you on the staying home, the stand on coffee, and I too don't like super sweet foods. However that matcha cake, and the cloud cake looked soo good!

I’m enjoying the “Maya in Korea” content. Beautiful to see that every cafe has a concept/theme/style in Korea. It’s almost the same as my city, Cape Town, South Africa. 🇿🇦Also you mentioned it’s hard to find 🚽 rest rooms in Korea when you wander around that’s different from Cape Town, there’s restrooms in every restaurants, cafe & Malls.

I would say it does help to learn the Korean alphabet and sound things out even if you can’t speak it! The subway station has words in English too, but all of the maps require being able to recognize some Korean letters 🥺 but for the most part I think Koreans here can understand a little bit of English! They just don’t really speak it :)

Can you elaborate on Wi-Fi pods? I am planning a solo trip to South Korea next spring and I am super nervous. I believe you mentioned something about returning Wi-Fi pods? I would appreciate more information on that. Thank you
Yess! At the airport they sell wi-fi eggs and they're basically portable wi-fi. A lot of places in Korea don't get internet signals no matter what international plan you have, so the wi-fi egg is great! You can rent it and return it before your flight back home.
