Honestly, i think they released MC raid too soon. 0.5 is a grind and now T1 is available to get in just a couple days? Honestly, it ripped the fun out of the idea of creating BIS step by step to experience wow. Dumb move by Blizz.
I decided it was not worth the time, effort and money to get set peices and upgrade them. 3pc wailing berserker with AB PVP items and blacksmithing craftables will be the way for me. If I didn’t play p3 i would probably grind this set. Thanks for the guide.
For those wondering (in season of discovery classic), you can buy the OTHER armor selections after you finish each new armor unlock quest. I just finished the first part for the bracers for my shaman and could buy all the other versions afterwards from that same orc for around 22g each. I'm assuming the other pieces may be higher in price but not sure just yet as I'm on part 2. Pretty cool if you're wanting to benefit from different set pieces (tank vs dps vs heal, etc.) on a fresh 60 while getting into raids too.
Magma Lord Bokk wasn't an elite btw. Not sure if he was in classic, but I passed him in SoD and he was showing as a lvl 60 non elite mob. Killed him later for the quest and will say though that he hits hard, so be ready for that and use CDs if you're not a range class.
Some time savor tips for doing this in SoD for the earlier quests: Set your hearth to Gadgetzan and take advantage of the summoning services around the world. ALSO, make sure to buy the Fel Elemental Rod while you're collecting the items from the ghosts in winterspring so you don't have to go back there again. Just make sure to have 40g to buy the rod.

I never did the 0.5 questline in vanilla or 2019 classic and it's something new for me to experience this time around in SoD, thankfully with the benefit of the new and improved 0.5 set piece options. But of course, there's no problem with just skipping it and getting upgrades from 5man/10man and MC/Ony right now in phase 4.
the whole set of 0.5 is not bis for warrior dps. was recommended that you keep your ST gear till tier 1. only ones you really need is two piece from 0.5 gear. belt and gloves supposely.
I tried to do the ectoplasm, killed 0 ghost mobs, got ganked 4 times, wasted 4 of the gas. Couldn't find a single untagged ghost mob. 0/10, would not attempt again

people will quit this phase and only raid log then the people who dont do this insanity questline wont get into molten core because gatekeeping but guys "this is just a testing realm for classic +" enjoy
Do you not like doing dungeons or doing quests? It literally just wants you to play the game. If you don't like the game, nobody is forcing you. Regardless of what goal you are going for, you're going to have to fly around the world finishing quests and doing dungeons. The gameplay won't change. You'll be doing the exact same stuff with or without these exact quests in your log.
I'm just glad they sort of Made Prot Great Again. I was definitely handicapping myself in phases 1&2 being Prot. Phase 3 was better but it's been so much better in dungeons for phases 4 so far.
And blizzard doesnt encourage Gold buying but charges 1k to get prebis, 1k for epic mount and 10k for the brd upgrades. Then theres enchants etc. Pass. Gonna get carried in mc by nerds instead and save Gold for epic Mount and encahnts 🤣
It's easier to get tier 1 than tier 0,5

But you can advance in the questline whenever you want. Tier 1 is tied to lockouts, So getting tier 1 itself will take longer.
This quest chain took me forever just finished it but i did it with a group of friends the whole time so it was really fun.
