Macheso made Tonga Moyo, Macheso came into the music industry as a solo artist years after Tongai Moyo. After watching interviews from Tongai Moyo's band members some of them came from orchestra Mberikwazvo he even tried to go for Jonas Kasamba of which he refused and reffered him to Shiga Shiga. If you watch Spencer Khumbulani's interview he admitted that Tongai Moyo acknowledged that Macheso was bigger than him.
