As a long time magic player it kills me to see people only play net decks. You almost never see anyone rocking their own original deck build. With endless possibilities it's really sad. Not knocking the video. Solid video. Just giving my opinion on the how people play magic.
There is targeted hate like Sheoldred's Edict that then becomes a brick. Create some mind games and cause your opponent to hold counterspells for win conditions that don't exist in the mirror. And the list wins without it but, yeah, Jace is usually included haha Basically we're seeing this in bo1 because of the amount of Prowess and Mono-Black Discard where Jace is worse.
gotta check out orzohv control it doesnbetter against discard than azorios and stargaze is just better than scrutiny imo aure scrunity can be instant speed but it doesn't give you the selection that gaze does. for 4 mana you literally get deluge but lose 2 for 6 you see 8 cards draw 4 lose 4 it is noticeable against mono red and needs to be sided out 100% in that match but with beza and starfall invocation its really eaay to make a comeback
@@Arstall I tried the token list it's very enjoyable it's funny I did the same exercise as you for decks and found almost the same ones. Did you see the azorious control with the mill creature and Jace wincon?
@@mr.mardoc8651 Yeah the one with Mindbreaker has been around for a while. Not sure it's great in a meta that has a low amount of Azorius Control but it was great before rotation.

I think many use it as a base and make their own substitutions. Helpful to new players

I've played lots of online card games and magic is the most expensive. You can't really experiment with deckbuilding unfortunately

Mirex is a win con for control
So is Restless Anchorage but usually the list contains some other form of win con and this one has none. No Ezrim, no Jace, etc.
